A great psychological horror movie, based upon "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James. Just like "The Haunting" the film makes use of its lighting, music, and direction for its effect rather than gore. At a creepy yet beautiful estate, a governess starts seeing apparitions of the dead in and around the grounds and comes to believe that the ghosts are trying to possess the bodies of the children she has been sent to look after. Is she crazy or are there supernatural forces at work all around her. BTW, I cannot believe that I am the first one to review this film. It is a must see for true horror buffs and classic film enthusiasts.
