This was a letdown. I know it's a first feature by the writers and directors but the low budget, poor effects and shoddy script really bring it down. There are good moments sprinkled throughout though . When the main hero brandishes a gun of some sort, the zombies are being blown away and the blood flies the film has a pulse, but then annoying characters spouting awful dialouge come on screen and the film becomes as lifeless as the menace they are fighting. Overall it seems to miss more than hit which is a disapointment. The guys who made this clearly have talent and know how to shoot a scene so maybe when their next feature, Daybreakers, hit we'll see what these guys can do with a big budget and a polished script.

Cheesy but has a certain charm.

A mediocre movie that suffers from poor CGI, and aliens. It was a pretty good, gory zombie film, until it was ruined by some poor CG and the introduction of aliens. Its a shame this film had potential and could have been so much better.

Not what I expected at all. A great tongue in cheek zombie movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. The movie has some great kill shots and effects.

way too much cheese.

You know this movie has been out for years now and i never gave it a chance until now. Im glad I finally did. I thought the story sounded cheesy. It could be if you dont watch the movie all the way to the end!
It actually is quiet a good movie. Unquie Zombie flick with awesome gore scenes, great acting by the lead roles and a hint of just enough laughs. It waste no time getting started and never stops. Hopeing they make a squel to this soon. if you can be open minded watch it, all the way to the end. Pretty cool flick!

eh... I'll admit I had some good laughs and I thought the gore was decent for the most part, although it teetered from bad ass gory goodness to shitty cartoon like splatter. I found certain parts of the movie to be down right annoying. The hero of the movie was just too robotic, a complete overkill of the strong silent type he was going for. Not that any of the acting in the movie was particularly good, but I choose to forgive and forget (surely its gotta payoff). Ugh nope, I lost all enthusiasm for this flick about half way through it. Every promising aspect of this movie came to a screeching halt; the comedy took a dive, killer zombie disposal went right out the window, and the suspense became non existent. The movie became a chore to watch, and the reward wasn't that great.

When I watched this film the entire time I was thinking “M. Night Shyamalan?” Nope, the brother duo of Peter & Michael Spierig are the minds behind this bizarre zombie flick. Anything that has brainless, rotting walking folks is something I try to see. I love zombie films I’ve seen many but I’d never herd of Undead so I had to watch it.

I think the Spierig bro’s were really trying to take the traditional zombie film and spin it in a different direction. They most certainly did spin the film in a different way unfortunately it’s almost nauseating how many twists and turns are in this film. It has the twists you would expect from M. Night. This film barrows aspects from so many films at once it’s hard to believe. The laundry list is as follows: War of the Worlds, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, The Village, Sean of the Dead and ending with Land of the Dead.

Undead really had some great ideas; I just think they could have been executed better. First thing I’d fix is the score to this film! It was a very poor choice of music; you really couldn’t get into the film because the music was way too upbeat! There’s rotting, bleeding creepers limping towards the characters yet it sounds like Will Ferrell is about to make an appearance. Second repair I’d make is take out some idea’s because there is just too many. This movie jumps from idea to idea before you can digest the first idea. At the same time it’s something I liked about this movie, once you think you understand it, it twists. Last thing I’d fix is the computer generated effects; this movie suffers terribly in the special effects department. It was very hard to get into the movie with the music, now add poor effects…Huston we have a problem.

There are many things I did like about this flick. First it was very different with many cool ideas. They may not have been executed as well as they could be but lets not get too picky. I think the film was cased great, the characters personality’s shined through and added reality and some humor to the film.

Undead struggled to find its own barrowing many idea’s from other pictures but with a few tweaks this film from down under could really shine. If you share a love for zombie films, give Undead a watch. It isn’t a film that you need to hit the internet ASAP to find but a good way to spend the evening.

movie was alright. I dont think they tried to make it funny but it was. I mean come on, what's with the guy getting attacked by the fish and him flipping upside down to kill zombies. Furthermore, what the hell was with the whole aliens suspending body thing.

The Undead was a great zombie flick, it had a good score for gore, It didnt have the best plot but its still worth checking out for zombie fanatics.

A really good entertaining movie that keeps you in the chair to the end. Great gore combined with the Aussie sense of humour makes it a fun film.

This was pretty gory and there were a whole lotta zombie kills. They tried to be too funny and that kinda ruined it or me. There were good and stupid parts in this flick. You either love it or hate it. Worth watching to find out.

This movie was alright. It had some great over the top zombie killing action but the mood was just too dumb and goofy throughout and the music sounded like something you'd hear in a live action kids movie. I gotta give it credit for such a creative story though.
