SYNOPSIS

This second in a trilogy of related ghost-cat films (after 1953's Kaibyo Arima Goten) brings back the beautiful Takako Irie as the mythical "kaibyo," a shape-shifter who becomes a predatory feline in order to seek revenge. More stark and haunting than its predecessor, this film co-stars Yoshitaro Bando and was directed by Bin Kato, whose unusual style makes one lament the fact that he apparently never made another film. Irie, whose acting career spanned seven decades, returned in Katsuhiko Tazaka's Kaibyo Yonaki Numa (1957).
