BY Far the most stupidest idea ever. Good God how stupid could they be I've seen so many sequels screwed up but not this bad. This is easily the worst space movie ever. It's like they really wanted to screw everyone and have an Alien film. I'd rather have Jason as a demon then a Terminator. This film deserves a zero. 0/10 0 out of 5 stars/skulls 0 out of everything it makes the first nine all look epic even part 5/8/Jason goes to hell.
How stupid are they to even make a film like this. It really doesn't even deserve half a skull.
This was retarded... jason didn't even look the same, it made part 8 and jason go to hell look like Gone with the wind Epics... Def not worth the time or money
All true Friday fans have to take this with a grain of salt. They tried something new to bring life back to the series, it didn't work the way they expected. but the hype of Jason returning to the big screen did draw a crowd. Also I think due in part to this movie, there was Freddy V Jason, and the new remake in the works, the series nearly died, due to lack of new material and constant parody from other sources.
Personally I didn't hate this movie, but it wasn't the best. It was fun to see Jason on the big screen, since when Jason went to Hell, I was too young to go watch it.
Being a sci-fi fan helps too, It has some decent kills and good makeup, UberJason isn't as cool as he should be but the make-up for his prison escape was pretty nice. Also seeing the med girl get her face frozen and smashed was fun.
I find myself a little ashamed of finding the Android or Cyborg fairly hot from time to time, but once again it's a Sci-fi thing.
Overall I'd say it could have been better, but alot worse too, and we should be happy they aren't trying to make Jason Takes New Earth. That would be bad.
If you're up for a few more kills from everyone's fav. machete weilding psychopath and don't mind some corny Sci-fi topping, check Jason X out.
I was suprised. I bought this movie for 4.99 in a bargain bin; my expectations were low...but it was actually okay. I liked the idea of him in space. And don't worry, he's still Jason and he kills those space peeps like no tommorow. It was a bad movie, of course, but it was fun as hell. I loved the part where they simulated Jason's home, the infamous lake/camp, and the two girls who were taunting him, "Want some alchohol? Or some pot? Or how about premarital sex. We LOVE premarital sex." I was laughing very hard. I loved this movie, and it's good for a few cheap scares and laughs
Yes, it's extremely dumb. But it's so much fun. All the movie really looks like is Jason thrown into the set of one of those crappy tv sci-fi shows like Babylon 5, or whatever the virgins are watching lately (yes, I'm ignorant towards Kevin Sorbo-esque tv).
After a while you get adjusted to the level of bullshit in this movie, but then out of nowhere it's gets even more ridiculous, and the idiocy just snowballs until the very end (where the fuck did that dude fly in from to stop Jason's explosion trajectory?).
But it really is a lot of fun. The violence is definately all there, and some of the kills are really great. It's also really funny, and the crazy part is that the jokes are intentional. A first for F13 movies I think.
Anyways, it's definately not winning any awards, and robo-Jason does look retarded (actually he just looks like Super-Shredder from Ninja Turtles 2), but it's a lot of turn-your-brain-off fun.
This movie was defiantely the worst Jason film I've ever seen the plot is ridiculous and it was extremely chessey this was simply horrible! But I laughed alot so i'll give it one skull!
