I think this film was the best sequel in the series IMO. It stayed semi loyal to he original, and had one of the most recognized horror actors,(Ken Foree)who, of course, gave a pretty good performance as "the hero". I just wish it was more than just two people traveling, they should have had at least 4 or 5 people, just for a bigger body count lol.
In a franchise of movies the first one is always great, the second one is okay but the third one is usually not all that great. But, I don't think the same could be said for Leatherface:Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. The only thing that's a little dissapointing was that this movie was shot in California instead of Texas like the previous 2 films but that didn't stop me from enjoying this buffet of bloodshed and it shouldn't stop you either. Although, Tobe Hooper didn't write or direct it and Gunner Hanson was not Leatherface, It is one of the best films in the whole TCM franchise.
While it lacks in story, The gore certinly dont stop this from being a great entry into the franchise. Despite its mostly negative reviews give it a shot. This film will grow on you asap. Only thing i strongly disagreed with was the ending it made no fucking sense!

Nice chainsaw!!!The uncut version is the bomb.Not as good as the original but what is.A good entry in the series.

Terrible film. Leatherface looks lame, Ken Foree is lame, Viggo Mortensen is lame... LAME. It's interesting to see people's reactions and how they stack the Chainsaw sequels. I like the second one far more than this piece of shit.

Absolutly horrid film. Second worst in the series (including the god-awful teeny-bopper remake) only the piece of shit 4th movie could top this. If your last name isnt Hooper you should have no business directing a TCM film.

Way better than part 2 and part 4. While the original is a classic masterpiece this isnt that bad. Although I would like to see everything that was cut from this film in its true form as intended by Burr. I liked it Although I have to admit I do enjoy the remake as well, not so much for the prequel though.
This one is a usually Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel it was Terrible not as bad as part 2. But still not worthy of being a sequel to the original I
did not like the teeth in terror type. Little girls don't need to be used in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre film it's not that type. Terrible, not as bad as part 2.
My favorite TCM sequel, as good or better than Part 2 if you ask me. Lots of gore and blood, and the family is fucking creepy (especially the little girl). awesome movie, unrated cut highly recommended!!!
this movie is as good as 2 was. good blood good gore. a good story. loved the rock music. this is also one of the best horror sequels ever made, but only watch the unrated version.
More violent & vicious than TCM2 but a very colourful family featured here indeed-leatherface as usual is the big blundering ill-bred manchild-the little girl is just creepy. A pretty good film in general.
