Hellraiser: Inferno. This was overall, a good movie. The acting, music, and storyline were all good. But, I felt it as a letdown in the Hellraiser franchise. This film really messes with your head and is a bit confusing at times, but makes up for it at the end of the movie. I do recemmend this film to Hellraiser fans.

Well a decent movie but not a Hellraiser type this actually is one of the better Hellraiser films gore definitely delivered like always recommended but more of a Jacobs Ladder then Hellraiser but still a decent film.

Seemed like a twist of hellraiser and jacob's ladder. This movie is good but not a hellraiser. The movie very good but a let down in the hellraiser category. I have seen jacob's ladder no need to watch it in other movies.
still liked it though.

I thought this was the best Hellraiser made. It got into your head being one of those mind fuck movies but did it with avail. Great movie to the series and is worth checking out if you havent seen it already.

Finally, Hellraiser returns to the themes it was built upon: Consequences for immoral behaviour. Between CD throwing cenobites and space explosions I was starting to lose hope for a minute there.

This film is excellent, which is a lot to say for a Hellraiser that contains no more than (maybe) 5 minutes of pinhead.

The plot is quite confusing, and by the end very little made sense, but it's themes are quite clear: Be a good person, or Hell awaits you.

The good: Very little not to enjoy about this film. Strong cast, strong story, fantastic and creative visual effects, buckets of blood and guts. New cenobites (finally) look original and menacing, including a revamp of the original's Chatterhead demon.

I can't go on about the characters enough, the acting is well above average for this franchise (and ya, I'm including the original 2 films as well). Having your main character be as much of an asshole as this man is, is so engaging. You want him to reap the consequences of his actions so badly. I was on the edge of my seat awaiting his punishment with excitement throughout the entire film.

Another strong point is that this film marks the return of real suspense and dread in this increasingly hollow series. Something about the way it was filmed is quite unnerving. I found myself cringing at moments when virtually nothing was happening, because the scenes conveyed a persistent evil that could arise at any moment. Even though the cenobites have quite limited screen time, you feel as if they are present around every corner, waiting to strike down our main character at any time.

I would almost compare this film to other 'building insanity' films like Jacob's Ladder or In the Mouth of Madness. And while it is certainly neither of those films, it holds it's weight quite well, and should not be lost in the mess of this franchise.

The bad: Cenobites have little screeen time, very little is explained in the end. The laws of the cenobites continue to change, though not so drastically as in 3 and 4.

Bottom line, this is a very well crafted, and extremely trippy addition to the series. Highly recommended. I can only hope that 6, 7 and 8 are anywhere near this quality.

Another 'hellraiser' film that has nothing to do with the original mythos. I did like this film for some odd reason though. The story was just really messed up and a little creepy.
The end was really cool also, un-expected. I recommend this film.
