A very worthy sequel. Lots of Pinhead and the Cenobites, which was good. Music was good, acting was fairly good, the locations were great, and I did like the story line. I really liked how it would flash back to the past and present and future, that was really cool. One of my personal favorites of the series. Recommended to all Hellraiser fans as well.

Second worse in the series Terrible plot Terrible acting Terrible cenobites (not including Pinhead) Terrible idea in space Terrible ending. Terrible movie.

I watched this in the theater, and it stayed with me for while. This is a good movie. Not full of the gore and blood of the first two and not the lessons of seeking hell. But it really good. I actually like the style of the movie a little more. This is not scary at all but enjoyable.

Not too shabby. Though if I were to rank it of the first 5 films I've seen, this would be the second worst, after 3 of course.

Pretty good plot follows the generations of the man who created the original Lament Configuration. For some reason, everyone in the bloodline are identical (played by the same actor), which was a pretty corny turn of casting considering I don't care for this actor in one role, let alone 3. Something about him pisses me off, and I can't pinpoint what. He just looks like a douche.

Beyond that, Pinhead is a great menacing presence once again. Still not abiding by the rules set forth in 1 and 2, but not straying as far as he did in 3. And I can understand why Hell might allow him to do some freelance work in order to ensure the ultimate gateway is created. The ending was kind of corny, and didn't even carry over into 'Inferno', but it certainly did not ruin the experience. And ya, Pinhead has a cenobite dog, which was kind of unnecessary, but it's nice to see some creature action again, since I don't remember seeing any since the wall crawler guy in the first film.

Great GREAT violence and gore. It remains, as always, creative and disgusting.

Overall, I give this film 3.5 skulls for it's creativity and pure entertainment value. Not back to what I would call the classy elements of the series, but I had just seen 3 before this one, and it is light years ahead of that mess.
