This is a staple in horror cinema, clearly its dated but it is still an important movie and is ahead of its time

I absolutely loved this film... It cannot however be revamped or reimagined the studio and producers would have every group and cause after them...Although I think Rob Zombie would be the one to do it in a not so PC world

Very creepy film for back in the day. All in all one of the best black and whites ive seen out there. Really good.

This is in desperate need of a reboot! I love the idea of it and the story and it has great twists but I'm pissed that they butchered the ending when it was so brilliantly twisted and not even the dvd's alternate endings show it! This needs to be remade ASAP! KEEP THE ORIGINAL ENDING BECAUSE WHAT I'VE HEARD SOUNDS GREAT AND BRUTAL! I liked how they used real circus acts than just real actors, it made it all the more effective and the whole thing is just ballsy for a movie that was made in the 1930's, fantastic but it's a shame that the censores ruined all of it's potential! Overall it's entertaining and clever and very twisted for its time but I say skip it until someone has the balls to remake it right which it deserves. More of a 2.5 out of 5 stars. Worthy of a classic gem in desperate need to be polished!

How did they get away with this film? This film will never be touched or remade because it is hardly impossible to do. They wouldn't even allow it. These were real deformed people in the film!
