DIVER is described as SE7EN meets FLATLINERS (!) and is about a secret division of the FBI with agents called "divers" who voluntarily flatline to see murder victims' killers in the minutes before their deaths. Once these agents dive into the world of the dead they must deal with "the grey man," a mysterious force that drives divers to insanity.
