Decent, but nothing to really brag about. Pretty dull in places, but it definitely is one of the better low-budge horror films you'll see. It's a shame the rest of the movie couldn't keep pace with the great opening.
I'd also like to say I figured out the ending half way through, so... *pats self on shoulder*
The one and only thing I didn't like about this movie, is that, it is the only movie in the Raw Feed collection that doesn't have an unrated version. =/ At least as far as I know it doesn't.
The dvd box reads "Sci-Fi Shocker". Well, there's really nothing shocking about this movie other than it was one of the most uninspired super-hyped movies that I can remember. This felt like a made for tv movie. My main problem with this movie is that it felt like it was forced to be a rated movie (R though felt like PG-13) when it clearly should have been unrated. Every kill by the so-called "Alien" was implied, the camera would pan away from the kill, or the camera work was so fast that you couldn't even tell what was happening. Of course the gunshot kills at the beginning aren't implied, but kills with pistols in horror related movies just don't do it for me anymore unless they are headshots at close range. Also, I might add that you never get a clear view of the alien. It would have been nice to have gotten a clear look at the alien at the end outside. While I didn't love this movie, it was still a good way to kill an hour and 20 mins. I would absolutely kill to see an Unrated cut of this movie.
Ending of the movie is excellent and very tense; characters really come into their own by this time. All the backstory that is doled out in dribs and drabs also comes together; and we really get a sense of the aliens' insidious threat.
First part of the movie, however, does drag a bit. The alien hunters are keyed up and shouting at each other, but since we don't really understand the backstory at this point, it's hard to get into the drama. Only when we know more, can we go back and mentally engage with them.
Worth watching for the excellent last third.

a huge let down not as good as the hipe i heard about it i was very disappointed. pretty boring not enough gore, you didn't care about the charecters at all. it did start good but afer the first 15 mins. or so it just dragged on.
This movie came as quite a little pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much from a movie called Alien Raiders, but this little pearl had interesting plot, believable characters and not to shabby in the gore and fx department either. I recommend you give it a watch if you are into B sci-fi movies.

DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS....
This film is terrible, it could of been something very amazing. But in the long run failed. The acting was good, it was just really drawn out and boring. Nothing happen's at all. Want a fuckin amazing alien movie wait for splinter. Skip this piece of junk. I am sorry to say such bad things, but when people lead me to think that something is so worthy and well done. It just angers me.
But save your cash and like I said watch splinter, a movie that had tension, scares, gore, laughs (few) and action.

first of all I hate when users rate a movie BEFORE They fucking see it, that's idiotic and unfair.
I saw this movie a few weeks ago before its dvd release, I failed to glorify this film like all the websites have so far, the title and cover art to this film is ridiculous because it's nothing like that at all, the science fiction/horror is very limited, but for the psychological film this is, that's good.
this is basically john carpenter's the thing in a way, you dont know who the hell is the "alien" and it's a matter of elimination and dragged out plot to find the "aliens" that are in the grocery store.
I love the story and idea even though its not that original and the delivery of it all was better than average, but the worst thing about this film is the characters and actors in the film, when your movie is grounded in a grocery store and your relying soooo much on character and acting, if that part isnt top notch you dont suceed with the overall film.
which could have been better given that.
