It's entertaining and have a very good graphics but I think the story is senseless (Another medical organization apart of Umbrella...). It must be that I'm not a big fan of the games. When it finished, my opinion was "Hey, good movie, good graphics, a lot of zombies, blood, action, but... Uh?? It's over?". I thought it will be... I don't know... different.
As a fan of the games since the beginning, this movie is fantastic. It actually feels like it's in the same world as the games (a shock after watching the live-action movies). I didn't hate the live action movies by any means but this just completely shits all over them. It's not really scary but more of a horror/action/sci-fi movie.
To tell you the truth, I'm not a fan of anime and still this movie took me for a ride... As a fan of the games and movies this is a excellent watch... A movie with ties to the games finally... Enjoy it for yourselves
Nothing to write home about but it's fun and better than any of the live action American movies, even if it doesn't make sense and constantly makes up new characters and evil organizations as it goes along. But what else do you expect from the Resident Evil series?
As an extension of the video game, this is a great film. As a standalone for a fan that is unfamiliar with the franchise, it's probably a terrible movie.
So, that pretty much describes it. If you're like me and followed the Resident Evil games since day one (and probably hate the live action films), this is the movie you've been waiting for as it connects 4 and 5.
If you don't actually play the Resident Evil games, don't waste your time. Rent the live action movies as they are better standalone movies that just destroy RE canon.
This movie rocked! everything I expected, just wish there was a little bit more zombie slayings but all in all i was very entertained from the get go. Great visuals, Excessive amount of gore will entertain even the casual fan of the resident evil series.

This is an amazing little animated movie that is made with the same animation style as Final Fantasy: Advent Children, but as an actual movie is so much better then that one. The animation in this movie is beyond steller, and makes me want to see a movie adaptation of all the games, done in this style. And just because this is a cartoon, don't worry, as there is plenty of gore that comes with all zombie-related movies.
I do have two complaints though. As this was made in Japanese, the audio is dubbed over in English, and much of it comes across as exactly that - a Japanese movie with bad English dubbing. There are a few exceptions to this, but for the most part, it takes you out of the movie. Also, would have been nice to see some Resident Evil monsters other then the zombies. The thing that sets RE apart from generic zombie fare, is its assortment of unique monsters and the only other one we see apart from zombies is a similar thing to the Birkin G-Mutation, toward the end of the movie.
Despite those things though, this still managed to be a very entertaining and well-made CGI Resident Evil movie, set in the universe of the games and notthe live-action movies as most websites are reporting.
I thought that for a CG movie this was actually pretty intense. I loved it. I didnt really think it was a good idea to make a CG resident evil movie, but I was proven wrong.It was awsome, groundbreaking,& scary. People need 2 watch this movie!!!
This movie is so awesome, totally wicked. This is among the best zombie movies ever made. Such a shame it was a CG Animation, so a lot many people will not be able to appreciate its true genius. It is far more darker and scarier than any of the movies George romero ever made or for close comparison Resident evil movie franchise itself. Totally recommended.
This RE movie sucked big time where the hell were all the Zombies, This movie was way too Boring also the whole movie should have took place in the airport. Best part were the bloopers...What a waste of time!

I'm go glad they came up with this movie. The only think i was wishing to see were some of the B.O.W. that umbrella had but i guess since all those creatures got blown up at all their facilities around the world. Hopefully we'll get to see more movies in the near future. I'm also happy that Degeneration ties in with RE5 and the TRICELL corp. at the end of the movie.
More True To The Games, Unlike the movies it related to the games, all in all decent.

This movie fucking owns. PERIOD, the whole time I was I was like I can't even say what I felt like. It's just WOW. Best fuckin CG movie ever once again it proves why US AMERICANS can't make shit, EVER. Leave it up to the japanese to pull this off. I like the Live action ones too but there more geared towards a DIFF RE a DIFF World this is the true RE movie. The effects are breathtaking the action is just off the wall. It never slows. WOW.
All I can say about this movie is WOW. I wasnt so sure about it when i was going to watch it but it was just great. This movie is much more better than the live action movies. In the end its THE RE movie we've been waiting for.
If you're a Resident Evil fan, I highly recommend this film. It's not great, but it definitely FEELS like Resident Evil. The animation isn't great but, c'mon, it's Resident Evil! It follows the formula of zombies, politics, big monster, and self-destruct. If you want Oscar-worthy material, skip it. If you want good, fun zombie killing, give it a shot.
If you are a fan of the video game, go buy this! this is the best of all the resident evil film, it reunites leon and claire as they battle the t-virus in a new town. its got an original story, great voice acting and over the top action!!!
THIS is the "Resident Evil" movie we've all been waiting for!!! It was better than all three live action films and the computer graphics were some of the best I've ever seen. The story is like a sequel to the video game "Resident Evil 2". The only thing that could have made it better would've been a few more mutations like spiders or lickers, then I would've given it ten stars. A definite must for fans of the game. You won't be disappointed.
