This is a great film for any real horror fan (if you think twilight is a horror movie this is not a flick for you). The story is good (probably where Rob Zombie got the idea for Dr. Satan) and it really delivers in the gore department. If you find this you should get it.

I had pretty high hopes for this one. I rented it on (of all places) Netflix, after seeing who the director was, and reading user reviews. (Surprisingly large horror community on Netflix...) I watched it, and I must say, I did enjoy it. Some of the critics spoke of this movie being slow paced, and it really isn't that slow of a movie. And with the exception of the little kid, the dubbing was surprisingly good. The movie is about a family who moves into a house, only to hear strange sounds coming from the basement, and ong story short A mad scientist is doing his experiments in the basement. There are parts of this movie that are actually kinda creepy, and there is plenty of gore. My only complaint is the little kids dubbing. His voice is pretty terrible to hear, and very annoying. All in all a good, but not great, movie.

my favorite fulci film

Certainly not Fulci's best, but a must see for any self-respecting horror/gore fan. And while the dubbing is distracting in some places (especially for Bob, who at times sounds dubbed over by a 40 year old woman) it is forgiven by some great gore scenes.

Now this movie was alright, but it is by no means Fulci's best. IT IS a must see/must own for any true fulci fan but I rlly wouldn't recommend it otherwise. Fulci's films are sometimes slow but this one almost put me to sleep, to be honest, but the gore was GREAT! It is pretty gory but the reason I gave it a lower score is because this movie has the most ANNOYING RETARDEDLY STUPID YELLOW HEADED KIDS EVER PUT ON FILM. I hated the kids voice, i hated the kids face, everything about him made the movie impossible to watch without wanting to punch the kid is his f***ing face, that little sh**. I HATE HIM, but if u are a fan of FULCI see it regardless of that little prick lol XD. 6/10

Just watch it when you're really really bored!

Definitely not one of Fulci's best, but there is some entertainment to be had here none the less. Just as long as you can ignore the awful dubbing for the child and the various plot holes.

Here's a warning for those of you who haven't seen a Lucio Fulci movie. He is a genius and everything just don't eat spaghetti for dinner (he likes his movies with a lot of guts and loves to rip open throats). This is a perfect mid-week forget about what happened at work movie. It's a little scary, a little creepy and pretty gross. What else do you need?
