This movie sucks. I literally fell asleep watching it. The locations are repetitive, the graphics are lame, and the story doesn't hold together. Don't watch this, it screams of mediocrity.

i cant believe anybody even liked this pile of nonsense, characters were pretty common stupid and predictable, bad acting, decent CGI, but if your advertising your film as "from the special effects team that brought you star wars & total recall" then one would already expect the good special effects, but the movie too much depends on the creature and playing the "jaws" effect of waiting an hour to see it doesnt pay off here because it's just another average CGI monster at the end of the day, killing off a bunch of pointless and stupid characters with no interesting plot to be interested in either.

I loved this film. It was fun to watch and rewarding in all the ways an action/adventure/sci-fi/horror film should be. Not especially scary but it's clear after watching this why Stephen Sommers was given The Mummy and Van Helsing. This one is more for adults than kids, unlike the aforementioned films. My only complaint is that there was not a sequel that picks up where the movie ends - on Monster Island! The ending also seems to be the inspiration for the The Lost TV show's pilot.

I have to say this was the greatest monster flick of all time.It has,and always will be my favorite creature feature film.

This film is a great thrill of a ride. I really enjoyed it. Especially the yummy Famke (yes i'm aware I'm a women who likes Famke). Anyway, this is a good film to watch with your mates with a few beers. But also it's enjoyable all the way through. Some great one liners and cool monster bits. It will always stay in my collection.

It's quite an original film too, im finding it difficult to compare it to any other. Maybe a cross between Anaconda/deep blue sea....anyway give it a go!
