I am Italian and I am not proud of this worst movie. It has a bad screening, bad acting, the director feels a great author, he copied your American movies by working badly on this. I hate this movie by heart. Don't mention Dario Argento because it has nothing to do with all his past movies. Do not buy it. You just lose your money. The cover is deceitful.
One of the goriest and strangest movie I've seen in a while, but the lack of story, good acting and scares makes it somewhat pointless. From the beginning you could tell that this was low budget, in some parts it was so dark that I couldn't see what was going on but that kind of made it creepy throughout and kept me in suspense. None of the characters in this movie were likable so there wasn't anyone to really root for and that bothered me and made it less thrilling and made it medicore. If it wasn't for the crazy, bloody final act I would have given it a lower rating, because if you take away the gore you have nothing interesting here, quite the bore. Overall a decent low budget effort that should please gore hounds.
I really do not see how this movie got up to 4 skulls for a score. I mean, it was an alright movie, but most of the movie looks to be recorded with a fucking camcorder. It could have been so much better if done by a major company. Good Choices; Dimension Extreme and Raw Feed
On the fence with this one. I was entertained throughout and the gore was pretty good. The story, although not original, was interesting. The three thugs were absolutely terrible though.
was kind of on the fence with this movie. It started off weird. For the First hour or so it was pretty slow paced, then it picked up to get some pretty good gore out. I wasn't really a fan of the dubbing it sounded like they just used the same people for all the voices. Probably won't watch this one again.
this movie is one of my fav of 2008.....at first it starts off slow but then does the terror come next....this movie is bloody as hell...mutant brothers running around with chainsaws and a cannibal family cause much bloodshed....you really care for the main character and prey she'll live through to the end....check this out if you don't mind a old looking movie with somewhat bad voice overs and are looking for a good scare...
Did I find this movie entertaining? Yes. But, would i recommend it? No. It's not for everybody. I thought that it was enteratining enough to the point where I thought it was disturbing as fuck. Think an Italian version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. One problem with this movie is that it seems more low budget than it really is. Another problem was the score. Does the seemingly techno score send chills up your spine? One of the only things that brought me back into enjoying this movie was the gore. Loads and loads of red stuff. It is awesome. If you won't watch it for the movie itself, watch for the gore (especially if you area gore hound, like me). Now, I'm not going to disrespect anybody that did not like this film, because I can understand that. But, in my opinion, the movie is enjoyable and definitely a movie to show my squeamish friends.
This movie is fun, not scary. It's a low-budget gore film. It's got a pretty good soundtrack, some sketchy acting by the 3 tools, but a solid story and plenty of good ol' gore.
Word of advice: DO NOT watch it with dubs. Use the subtitles. The dubs were pathetic. They actually sounded like someone was just sitting there reading the lines.

This movie was pretty stupid, to be completely honest, but it was reminiscent of some of the schlocky gems that came out in the late 70's/early 80's...the bad English dub only furthered that. The plot and climax, however, were downright ridiculous. Some good gore towards the end if nothing else.
I usually cut low-budget movies a little slack because of the limitations they have to work around, but this film just flat-out sucked. A complete failure in every way.
Personally I am not one to give a positive review to poorly acted films. In this case though, despite the campy acting by the three douche bags, I had a really good time by the end of this film. At the beginning I was a little hesitant to relax into this, but as the gore starts flowing, and we are introduced to the family, I think things really started happening in the films favor. Heavily influenced by 70's Italian giallo films. Dario Argento's unique color choices for his film sets where even utilized in an overt manner. Good homages, good gore, and a pretty intense twist, bad acting, but this is horror, and I can say it didn't bother me to bad in this case. Give it your own try and you might feel the same way.
This movie had some gore going for it but after that the two retards were just plain stupid with their ten cent makeup. The dubbing was terrible, and the story was just stupid. How this got 8 out of 10 from BD i will never understand. This was close to a waste of 90 minutes of my life.
I understand this is supposed to be a cheesy, gory throwback kind of movie. But no matter how much I tried the AWFUL, AWFUL acting made me cringe and made it almost unwatchable. The only redeeming quality was that this movie was definitely not afraid to show some gore and push some boundaries.
I liked this movie. It was dark, gory, and fun. It's hard to do anything original with the "hillbilly freak" concept, but I think this film succeeds. And even with all the death and destruction, you can't help but smile at the ending. I would recommend this film.
this movie takes all the usual regurgitated cliches and executes them poorly. the only way that this film has atmosphere is if you try really hard to convince yourself of it. in all reality it suffers from the lack of using lighting on the production, mainly natural light was used. the acting was mediocre for some characters, but mainly bad. this movie had my attention for small minute time frames then quickly sent me rocketing out of it with its lack of character and lack of story. overall this came out as a mess.
if you enjoy those old italian hack & slashers like deep red hatchet murders, you may like this one too. i reminded me heavily of argento, tons of atmosphere, gruesome killings & strange families. despite all the bad reviews, i think it's worth a watch. yeah, some scenes are hard to get thru, plodding along, but the film on a whole is pretty good fare.
A rehash of the Weird Family movies of the 70's is what you get here. Nothing new, nothing done very well. The look of the film is a throw back to the era, but the effects and acting are pretty bad (especially the 3 thugs and the 2 hillbilly retards). Plot isn't bad, but spirals into ridiculous at the end. The hillbilly retards don't really fit in at all and their makeup effects are awful. The cannibal kid is really never defined and the final denouement effects are something I did in my garage haunted house as a kid(and I think mine actually looked better). Only watch to say that you gave it a shot....(No Nudity, just allusions to it. Bloody violence never truly shown)

pretty much kills this subgenre that was a fun ride for a while but grew tired after wrong turn 2, timber falls and many other "inbred looking
family of killers in the woods" films. i know alot of people have praised this movie and loved it for being a throwback to 70s style horror films, but not all throwbacks (in my opinion) are done very well.
annoying characters that had no charisma or entertaining features except for the main villian guy,
it feels like an unsatisfying journey of a dark depressing film that takes itself a bit too serious when some moments could have been more humorous than just serious and gory, i am open minded to all horror films, but this movie is pretty much what FRONTIERS could have been THANK GOD it wasnt and that film was a great film
Frontiers had
visual style, good direction, great villians and characters, suspense, mystery and very good terror and horror, and because of the wonderful qualities of that film you can be serious and dark and also be good at the same time.
this is the bastard cousin of frontiers, and that isnt a good thing because frontiers' plot wasnt very original
but the way they executed it shows that you can still use some tired formulas but do something original with it,
this film does nothing original. and seems to me a basic film in the vein of wrong turn, hills have eyes, timber falls, and so on, it's the same as vampire films and zombie films the forumula's are all overkilled but in order to stand out it really has to be great and impressive, in which this case, i dont feel impressed or entertained or interested in anything about this movie
