To Let and A Christmas Tale are both great. Pass on the rest!

Two very freaky, terrifying spanish horror shorts that's nothing short of brilliant. The Baby's Room is about a couple with their baby who move into a new home not knowing something dark is lurking and somehow haunts their baby monitor. This one gave me the chills from the start and with an ending that will leave you speechless. To Let is about a couple who decide to look at an apartment that was listed in the paper and get into something more terrifying than they could imagine. This was truly an intense, creepy movie that gets kind of bloody towards the end and what an end it was. Both movies were really good and worthy of a full length motion picture that deserves to go to theaters, but they definitely used the time they had on these movies very wisely and then some. These are two talented directors and cast and crew behind these movies and I can't wait to see what they have instore for us next. Highly recommended! After Dark Horrorfest take note!!!
5 OUT OF 5 SKULLS!Two very disappointing films that didn't keep me awake. A Real Friend is about a lonely little girl who lives with her mom, she creates friends with her imagination from her favorite horror movies such as Leatherface to get a father figure that she wants and needs. This movie was a tad boring for me with uninteresting characters. It had no scary moments and some of it didn't make sense to me like the ending. Though it did have villians from popular horror movies, it just didn't come off as a pure horror movie for me, but more of a drama/thriller. Xmas Tale is about a group of kids that stumble upon a deep hole where a trapped, injured, deadly theif that's dressed up as santa begs them to help her out of the hole, but soon they realize she stole loads of money and they want half of if, she gives them half but they keep her down there anyway. Frustration leads to anger and she manages to escape and hunts them down with an axe to get the money back. This one was better than the first movie but still wasn't great. The villian was the most interesting character in this movie and was played great by the actress. All of the kids were annoying to me except for the little girl who you might remember her from Pan's Labyrinth. Most of the film was pretty entertaing including one part involving a water slide. I just thought the movie played it safe and came off as a dark kids movie if anything, but it was pretty decent one at that. Overall both of them were not as powerful as To Let & The Baby's Room which are the best of the 6 movies by a long shot. Not Recommended!

These movies are choice. The spaniards know how to make it original and delicious with a side of fries.

Christmas Tale stands out like someone standing in an audience of sitters. So yeah, just see that one if you're lazy but if you're badass you'll watch them all because they kick big ass.

Two words sum this set up, Fantastic and Original. To Let and A Christmas Tale were well above average, I recommend this set to anyone!

Some hits and some... well, almost misses. All were worth at least one watch, while I thought A Christmas Tale and To Let were the stars. I have to against most people and say To Let is my clear favorite here. A Christmas Tale was good, but fairly slow for my tastes, even if the overall story and acting were superb. To Let, on the other hand was a chilling tale jam packed with action and violence. A true slasher that didn't let up. It reminded me a bit of Misery... if Misery was a slasher. If it wasn't for To Let, I really think the collection would only be mediocre overall. To Let gets a 9/10, the collection gets a 7/10.

the first two-films lacked a bit, but once the second disc hits it picks up. "A Real Friend" was okay at best. it was kind of entertaining to see a bunch of classic monsters thrown into the mix, something i was iffy about at first, but ended up enjoying it. nothing beats "A Christmas Tale", i loved this film. Paco Plaza is definately a director to keep an eye out for. on to the 3rd disc, "The Babys Room" was fun little ghost tale. another film that gets rolling a little slow but eventually picks up. "To Let" was pretty entertaining, probably the 2nd best of this collection and done by the other half of REC. more of a stalk-and-slash-esque film, as opposed to the usual supernatural theme that runs through this collection. overall, "A Christmas Tale" is what really carries this collection, if it were for this film id be rather disappointed. i give this collection a 9/10 due to Plaza's film, without it id rate it a 6/10.

I searched high and low for this collection only to find it on Time Warner Cable Espanol On Demand (as of 19 October 2008). Spanish style horror is character heavy, emotionally intense, and more focused on the suspense than the surprise. These films were no exception, and I loved the unique vision each director gave to their work.

what a delicious gift this little package contained...ugh that sounded sexual, but anyways, what a great great dvd this was, i rarely buy dvds based on positive reviews but this one so many people wrote positive things about it, and they really hit the nail on the head, this is some horror movies that ive been wanting to see for a long time, relying mostly on suspense and intensity and eerie things rather than torture and shock value, these films are actually blend together some wierd way and it's as if they are all actually one giant movie containing 6 parts, it's very very interesting stuff, "to let" and "a christmas tale" and "the babys room" have to be my favorites of the 6, but they are all actually really good, i wont discount the others i didnt list because they all deserve to be recognized for creativity and suspense as well "blame" very much like a newer hitchcock suspense thriller, and "spectre" would probably be my least favorite of the 6, but it still was suspensful and mysterious and unpredictable, unpredictability has been lacking in the genre alot, and it's good to see that brought back here through this wonderful 6 films to keep you awake!

i have no idea how you people gave this collection of movies such a high score.....i barely made it passed the first 2 movies "blame" and "spectre". they were so boring! i mean HORRIBLY boring and not one scary scene. should i even bother with watching the other 4, HONESTLY?

This collection is fantastic viewing! We have films here which actually give you THE CREEPS! You know, stuff that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. It's not a bunch of tired blood and gore bullshit. It's actually scary -- clever, too. American studios and audiences could learn a lot by turning their attention towards efforts like these. Brilliant stuff!

I love, love, love this collection. The Christmas film is by far one of the best direct-to-DVD releases in a long while. I highly recommend buying this....
