Takes a old idea and makes a original, fun, and at times freightening movie. Loved it!

fantastic film watched over 5 times and will watch it again, Shyamalan really made the scenario believable great stuff! really do rate this film. a must watch.
A Frustrating movie. It starts well and has some genuine creepy moments but then falls flat on its face in the final third, and why did he cast himself in an important role. Bad move, Night. Oh, and the aliens are defeated by water!!!! Then why did they choose to land on a plant that is 80% covered by the stuff, very silly indeed. Besides Sixth Sense all of this directors other films always fall short of the mark. A great premise and good cast let down by stupid ideas.

Not Shyamalan's worst effort, but easily the worst ending/twist/resolution to a movie ive seen in a loooong time and this fact completely ruined the first 85% of the movie for me.

Shyamalan's only great movie. Possibly the scariest PG-13 horror film ever made.
