It took me forever to get this movie. I had to search for an eternity. Perhaps that was why I was let down. The movie was fantastic up until the ending. Then I was just left feeling depressed and sort of underwhelmed. I recommend you to watch this just because of everything but the ending. Ha.

Another "teen" horror but hey the ending gave me fond memories of how I met my girlfriends.
Sure the things they all did was completely unrealistic but since it was they all kinda deserved to be shot or...worse.
Did a little research after too to find out all kinds of info related to the movie, really interesting stuff. Makes ya wonder what Land of the Free means >.>
But hey if its dark and rainy and you are alone with a girl...DONT WATCH IT
It may bring up nightmares, jesus they wouldnt stop crying.
The tawdry ending (a very real problem that was cheapened) and the sheer stupidity of the protagonists sunk this movie for me. Sure, it was entertaining enough with some pretty good acting (especially Tony Curran) but too many of their actions weren't credible. Like the --- spoiler --- the idiot girls not finishing the driver off when they had a (few) chance(s) and the driver refusing to die or even slow down after having multiple things happen to him. And to tell me these guys were polished pros that have been doing this thing for 5 years? With those kinds of amateur mistakes? Sure.
Mediocre movie that I found a lot more annoying than alarming or suspenseful. Watch it and you'll know why.
I seen this movie sometime ago and really was actually creeped out about it. The reality and brutal era of this is so heart twisting. I felt for the chacaters in this movie. All of them besides The Rapest Freak. I even felt for the Shuttle Driver. The movie did a great job displaying the range of emotions each one with through. Although the ending had no gore, it was the the scariest ending to a movie I have ever seen. They could have cut 20 mins out of this movie, and thats really its only flaw. This is what true horror is all about.
An utterly disturbing, brutal, unrelenting and terrifying, dark crime/thriller that reminded me of Wolf Creek and the UK horror/thriller Gone but twice as fuc!ked up, this one is a nail biter! This starts off pretty innocent but escalates into a living hell of pure terror and it will definitely keep you on the edge in suspense until the shocking and messed up ending that had my jaw drop. I thought the acting was good though they didn't have much of a good script or story for that matter but the filming was pretty good and created a bleak and realistic atmosphere that made it all the more terrifying. It got pretty violent in some parts and some of it looked pretty realistic and it was very harsh! Overall, although the ending pissed me off I have to say that this is probably the most disturbing thrillers I have seen in awhile and it had more pros than cons so I'm going to recommend it for that! This movie will make you think twice about hitching a ride on a shuttle that's for sure!
In my opinion, you can do much better than watch this movie…maybe a trip to the dentist or go visit you in-laws. This movie is so sad and predictable that it is painful to watch.
Although the film was a lil' on the long drawn out side I thought it was an interesting & all too real story. After seeing this movie I realize being cheap, or trying to cut corners can easily cost you your life entirely. At times the scenes were too long but the suspense was overpowering. The end of the film leaves you w/ nothing but a sense of sadness; and the subtle irony seen before the rolling credits only add to the heroine's easily avoidable turmoil. What stands out about this movie is that it's NOT just a movie. The revealed plot of this story, more than likely, is happening more often than the mass public is aware of. Without giving away the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I put 'Shuttle' in the same catagory of 'Hostel', 'Turistas' & more specifically 'Taken'. All of which are films mirroring reality.
loved it i thought this movie was just awesome from beginning to end, i thought it was obvious the movie was made for next to zero money, but that didnt ruin it what so ever for me, i think too often film makers use that for an excuse for piss poor filmaking, anyone who thinks you cant make an excellent movie without a 40 million dollar budget then watch this movie and get ready to be blown away
i liked this movie, the start was abit slow but by the middle i just wanted to know why all this was happening, twist at the end was alright, left me feeling abit grimmed out to be honest, ended on a complete cliffhanger!
Creepy. Whether it's the suspicious shuttle driver, or a seemingly retarded passenger, Shuttle is vry intriguing, and gripping. So many scenes make you cringe, and the films climax definately isn't expected, until the last 5 minutes. It's powerful build-ups are very avoidable if you think you know what's happening, but i can almost guarantee your wrong. Key points in the film, are very edge-of-seat material, and it's just a shame it didn't go theatrical.
The plot would be very hard to work into a full lenght picture, as it seemed a little impossible, but it is really well pulled off. What's most intriguing about the plot is the ending, that i thought near the end was possible, b ut i just didn't think it was going to happen.
The acting was suprisingly good. Alot of "Straight-To-DVD" features have appauling actors, but this actually had decency. The two lead women wear at times brilliant, and at times unbelievable but it worked out to a healthy mix.
Overall "Shuttle" delivers cringing moment,s great build-ups and a unexpected climax. My rating is 3.5/5
SUCH a suprise! I went into this film thinking I was going to see utter crap. Yet I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The tension picks up immediately and never lets up. I wouldn't call it a horror, more of a suspense thriller, but it's a ride indeed!
A genuine suprise. Taut, tense and unnerving throughout with a satisfyingly bleak edge. It's unusual that a film with this kind of plot can avoid straining credibility too much but Anderson does a good job keeping things believable and the performances are extremely solid, especially Curran as the intriguingly conflicted villain. Highly recommended.
I expected great things from this movie but i was left a little disappointed...
Shuttle started off really good, i loved all the characters and the acting was amazing...but halfway through i got bored as hell and was like it's not that hard to get off a bus...i men just jump out the window it was open, you might break an arm or a leg but deal the fuck with it b/c its better than dying
the ending was pretty good and i really liked it but it wasnt enough to save the movie.
This is a good movie, the only problem I had with this movie was the guy getting shot at point blank range and still lively enough to run around and throw that girl in the box. Other than that it was fine, the plot and the script isn't all over the place, I guess a little confusing for some but for us horror folk it was great. The human trafficing thing is very fucked up, I guess for some people it needs to be I don't more fucked up in a way, knowing that your being sold and also knowing theres nothing you can do about it (which they had planty of opritunities to fight back but whatever) its a pretty fucked up thing. I guess it would have to happen to you or your child to really scare you, but there's something that really pisses me off about this movie, no one is ever able to get away, its lame and unrealistic, other than that it was good.
I was a little hesitant to buy this, but i am glad i did!! i really enjoyed it, the chicks were hot,the gore to me,came at a time when i least expected it!! hence the finger scene, i love horror movie's with bleak and depressing endings( after all it is a horror movie) to say the least i loved the ending.great film..
Ok the only scary thing about this entire movie was the ending. As a girl I hated this movie but as a horror fan I really enjoyed. The so-called twist ending could be seen a mile away and the plot and script where all over the place but still I really enjoyed this film that is untill the last 90 seconds... the hole human traffic thing is BS... I mean is that it? Is the best you could come up with? Disapointing as hell, even what little gore and violence there is ca NOT save this movie from it's self. It's like a car reck you can't help but look... with all that bashing done.. I'll say this... Shuttle may not have been the best film of the year or even a good one really but it is what it is... a dark story about slave trading... I loved that aspect of the film and think it might be enough to get others to watch it. I sadly DID enjoy this film and with that said I give SHUTTLE 5 pairs of white High Heels out of 10 Pairs of White High Heels!
You know that scene in a horror movie where the victim manages to escape from the individual(s) that threaten them, only to do something dumb like dropping the gun and get captured again? The scene that makes you groan loudly at the screen as believability and cathartic enjoyment seep out of the moment like a deflating balloon?
Shuttle is that scene stretched out into an entire movie. And where that particular brand of stupidity demonstrated by a character might be forgivable the first time, repetition really starts to set in with Shuttle. Somebody could try to make the gleeful counter-argument of "well you don't know how somebody might react in that situation", to which I reply that by then tenth time you escape and are captured again, you'd probably get pretty tired of it and just pull the damn trigger the next time. Which doesn't ever happen.
what started out kind of silly took a great sickening turn.. ending was very emotional. and the realism of the ending is just plain scary.. ugh we live in a fucked up world
An absolute thriller! This was one of the best movie's I have seen In a long time, The visual of this standard dvd was done perfectly. The Tension throughout the whole movie was fantastic as it kept you nervous for the characters throughout the film, The acting was very good and the ending was unforgettable, if you do not like closed in spaces then this will rock your world. It's a must see in my opinion, They say movies with twisted and bad endings suck well last time I looked this is Horror and a great horrifying ending is the best!
