He casts Tony Todd as the Candyman, a legendary man who when his name is said five times appears and murders the caller. Tony does a fantastic job bringing the Candyman to life, he is a large black man with a hook for a hand. He is a product of myth and the more people that belive in him the stringer he gets.

The movie takes place in Chicago where student Helen Lyle (Virginia Madeson) is doing a research project about the Candyman. The movie unfolds as she finally gets a greeting from the Candyman and everyone thinks shes crazy.

The scenery is very surreal and has much meaning behind the story, and the cast does a fantastic job of making this movie believale, a definite see...
