Yeah, was a good one...worth seeing. A young girl revenging the death of her brother. Reminded me a little of Kill Bill. I loved the Cinematography and the Special Effects. The fights are funny. Call me crazy, but it has a touch of Kung Fu Hustle in it...great movie

I am a big fan of asian action/horror. This one is very near the top. It keeps to the genre of way over the top stunts, and blood! I keeps to the typical way out there action scenes like you would see in Kibakichi, Ichi the killer, or Azumi. A must see!
machine girl is just awesome. there is no other way to state it. it is the slither of ninja movies. the gore factor is so over the top and not in a bad way. must see for anyone into old movies like attack of the flying guillotine or new ones like kill bill vol 1.
If Dead Alive had ninjas this would be it, quite possibly the bloodiest ( ridicuously hillariously bloody at that) film I have seen in quite some time. This movie isnt just cheesy..it's total velveta and it oozes with it begining to end from the hillarious dialogue (the dubbed version especially) the insane amounts of blood spatter..I'd imagine a paper cut would deliver the same trajectory.Totally perfect for get togethers with a group of friends with a case of beer handy!
I hardly ever give out perfect 10’s. Of all the user reviews I’ve written on here, the majority of them are below 5’s . I can only give a perfect 10 out to something that is easily the best (or at least in the top 3 best) movie of its kind.
The Machine Girl makes other movies of its kind—Grindhouse, Black Sheep—look downright childish, if not totally amateur. It is flawless with what it tries to achieve, not a minute out of place. It’s funny, gory, over-the-top, ridicules, cheesy, and one of the most disturbingly fun and shocking movies I’ve ever seen. After being severely disappointed with Black Sheep because of the lack of gore and the lack of a plot, this is like an answer to me proving cheese-shock films aren’t dead.
The effects are horrid—that’s how it was meant to be. The plot is so ridiculously unbelievable it’s laughable—that’s what it was meant to be. But what I was impressed with more than anything was the anti-cliché characters that are actually memorable, and the anti-cliché gore that has to be some of the most disturbing scenes caught on film. The use of strobe in the last 5 minutes was . . . utterly brilliant.
For years, video games like Killer 7 and No More Heroes have had the upper hand over movies when it came to gore and true originality. While those games still do, this is just one movie that is really closing the gap. If only Americans understood the things the director of this film understands, maybe there would be hope for the cliché-cliché-cliché formula that the horror genre has become.
Don't believe the guy below me. This movie is fun as all hell. Obviously everyone knows about the fountains of blood and generally violent mayhem in this movie, but it should be mentioned that it's really funny as well. I won't ruin the jokes, as many of them benefit from the element of surprise, but I will say that they usually revolve around the dismembering of another.
In fact, you should be able to figure out whether you'd enjoy this just from the poster. To make a comparison I didn't want to make, I was reminded of Planet Terror, not only because of the gun as a limb of a sexy lady. This film knows how ridiculous it is, and does everything it can to leave you in shock and awe in spite of your already souring expectations of violence and brutality. I wish all the reviews I've read hadn't spoiled so many good scenes, but there's even more to love than I'd imagined.
It's fluff, but it's insanely entertaining fluff, and I'd be surprised if anyone else is disappointed with this.
Don’t believe the hype. If only the film was a good as the DVD cover. With so much potential I was very much let down after watching this one. The opening scene is fantastic! Blood flies everywhere as the little school girl kicks ass and removes limbs from all who oppose, all done in Grindhouse fashion. Too bad the rest of the film isn’t as fun, interesting, or well done as the opening credit sequence. It turns speedily into a bunch of rubber heads being knocked around by a giant rubber gun only fall off like a pickle slice clinging to a wall and spaying a fine mist of high-pressure red water. If you are in to this type of crazy, over-the-top, Asian, action flicks then there are better examples for you to spend your time on. I think that “Save the Green Planet” and “Yo-Yo Girl Cop” are far better.
