This one is very overrated than most in the series, but still it's pretty good. Although it's not as good as the 1st and the 2nd Halloween.
I don't really know why, but this is my favorite halloween movie! The only downside with it, is the Michael Myers mask, but all the other stuff is fantastic! Donald Pleasence is great as always, and Daniel Harris was a great addition!

halloween 4 is a good movie but i dont like the mask on myers at all it looks real dumb to me and tye acting is average at best with out the dr loomis guy this movie is kinda boring and the little jaime lloyd thing is kool but the movie is average
Became a very pretty woman! I saw this when I was little loved it saw it again its shit. I think all of the mainstream is kind of beat. Trust me IM a huge horror fan and have been most of my life, but there are horror movies and hollywood slashers.

Halloween 1 & 2 were a two part story ad that returned thi time where Halloween 4 & 5 were a tw partstory but a little more lame this time around. I enjoyed Halloween 4 but hated how Halloween 5 turned out, it makes me not watch this one very often.
I'm glad Myers is back. After the rather horrible third movie, this is back on track. It isn't the best Halloween movie, but is a really good movie for a fourth entry. Which is surprising. The acting is great, the solid performances really make this film what it is today. The scary as hell Myers is back, with a much better mask by the way. The slasher gore is back, the scary atmosphere is back, and most of all, this is what a slasher flick should be like!
After the insipid, underperformed box office failure "Halloween III: Season of the witch", Dwight had to make it evident that the official Michael Meyers was back. Dwight did exactly that and really is that such a bad thing? Michael Meyers has returned to Haddonfield and is now stalking 8 year old Jamie and the town is plagued by the infamous mask killing mongoloid.
The film is exactly what you'd expect it to be. A Michael Meyers sequel. If that's all you bargained for you'll like this a lot. As for the rest of us that are picky when it comes to sequels, this one is an exception. It concentrates more on suspense and terror rather than gratuitous violence, although grotesque violence is present. The characters are also a delight and are as involved as our previous heroines. Moreover, Donald Pleasance reprises his role as Dr. Loomis.
While I'm giving the film a slight recommendation, there are some things that I disliked. For starters, I despise at the idea of Jamie's hallucinations and dreams about Michael. They occurred too abruptly and frequent in the beginning. Also, I know this will irk some people, hence its insignificance, but Michael's mask was just lame and phony in this one. It looked too pale and too simple. Before it actually looked quite impressive, especially for its age. Also, I know this is a minor issue, but the kills happened too late or later than they should have. Although I admit this is probably the most gruesome entry, along with Rob Zombie's remake.
Overall, Halloween 4 isn't special or anything you haven't seen before. What makes it warrant a slight recommendation is that it knows exactly what it wants to be. A Michael Meyers film. It's exactly that. Despite its flaws, especially the ending, it's a decent sequel that works mainly because it's exactly what you expect. And really, is that such a bad thing?
Pretty good fright flick. Pleasence was fantastic as always. Danielle Harris did a marvelous job as Jamie. Ellie Cornell (Moaning Girl from "Free Enterprise") was very good also. I hated the mask with a passion!!! The film itself was very good. The scenes with Loomis & the Preacher always stuck with me. "You can't kill damnation mister, it don't die like a man dies". Great line!!! The scene where Michael tosses Loomis through the glass is the one time where we see Mikey with white hair, lol. Pretty good return for the Shape overall. Check it out!!!
Like a lot of people noticed, the mask was fuckin wack, but its still Big Mike in all his evil glory. Its one of the best sequels behind part 2,6,&7.Danielle Harris is great, she really makes you believe shes scared shitless. And of course Dr Loomis was great once again. You won't like the mask but try to look past it as this is a pretty good entry in the series.
I know this is a fan favorite but it just felt like a normal sequel, though it's better of most in the franchise. Danielle Harris is great addition and the end is still cool and memorable.
One of my favorite Halloween movies! And by far one of the very best ending in horror movies history. The rooftop chase rocks! I also love Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell. They are still great actresses.A great return to my all time favorite Villian.....Michael Myers!
I'm not sure why everyone loves this sequel. I think Micahel looks terrible in this one and in part 5. The mask does not replicate the original very well and he walks around like a goon and crawls on rooftops and trucks. It just doesn't seem like him to me, and I feel like part 6 was a welcome return to Michael as a monster to fear.
not the first two but not bad hey at least its got old michael back!

Halloween 4 is just as good as Friday the 13th 4, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, and Hellraiser 4.

I loved this one. It was a great return of michael. Scary and good story. Youre talking about him if he were human, that part of him died years ago(DR.Loomis/R.I.P)
The first horror film I ever watched and it didn't disappoint Danielle Harris was excellent playing Jamie Lloyd and i was glad that the theme music sounded more like the original
The plot was pretty good. Danielle Harris did a good job as a scaried kid. The suspense was certainly there. My problem with the movie is that Michael Myers looks like a human codpiece same with part 5.
One of my favorite halloween movies!!! it was genious! all of it was just amazing. Sure there were mistakes, but we're human!!! I hate it when people nit-pick movies and find every little flaw and if they find just one, the movie isn't perfect enough for them!
For all of you who do that:
ITS A FUCKING MOVIE!!! ITS FOR ENTERTAINMENT!!! SCARY MOVIES ARE ALWAYS A LITTLE BIT FAKE!!! IF THEY WERE 100% REAL, THEY WOULD BE BORING!!!!
my thoughts on halloween 4 and 5 were good but not like the first two movies with 4 and 5 they put it to were laurie stroud had a daughter that she had adopted out but when they came out with h20 they never brought it up instead it turned out that she was in hideing and had a son but for 4 and 5 thumbs up

after the flop of halloween III they felt it necessary to make more halloween's with michael myers even though he burned to death along with loomis in part II.
this one was okay, I liked this one more than part 5, although 4 and 5 feel they go together as one, similar in the way the first two halloweens related to each other.

Haven't seen this in a long time, but watched it last night. It was a fun time, it had some pretty bad ass kills. The thumb stab to the head in the beginning was great. When Brady got his head crushed by Myers I was laughing and clapping, the sound effect made it sooo much better. Danille Harris did a good job for a kid and Ellie Cornell was just kind of there. I thought Sawyer was a funny bastard and wish he would've had a tad more screen time. Overall, its a good movie, and an even better sequel.
I rate it 7.5/10(round up to 8)
Good to see michael back but dont get me wrong this isnt a good movie its descent because pleassssssssss dr loomis survived the explosion on halloween 2 of course not it looks really chessy that him survived and michael myers mask looks weird nothing like it looks on the poster the only things i liked very much was danielle herris performance, good chasing scenes and the excellent ending that gave me creeps when i watched it so give this movie a chance youll ve presently surprised.
This was a good sequel. It brought Michael Myers back. The death scene was pretty cool when he shoved his thumb through the guys head. Jamie was a little whack in this one. Good sequel. I don't see how anyone could dislike this film.
Very good sequel smart move bringing Michael back one of the best sequels in the series. Although it did have weak spots like the new Myer's mask which I thought was horrible. But this is a highly recommended, (this was my first film in the Cinema's).
I agree with everyone below this is a great movie despite what people say, and i know ppl will hate me for saying this but i like it as much as the original, its kick ass,
Great atmosphere throughout
and i agree with a fistful of boomstick, get the halloween comics too they rule
This is definetly a kick ass sequel! it was nice to see Donald Plesence return because I'm a huge fan of the Loomis Character and Donald Plesence always delivers likes ushule. I thought the story line for this one was excellent as well it put a nice new twist to the series great film.
I hate Michael's mask in this one, but the movie is fantastic. Director Dwight H. Little brought his A-game ot the franchise to bring it back to life. This 4th entry in the seris is oozing with atmosphere--from the opening shots of Haddonfield at dusk in the Fall to the misty streets on Halloween night--this definitely feels like a 'Halloween' film. The big star here, besides Myers of course, is young Danielle Harris. This little girl-wonder knocks it out of the park as Jamie Lloyd, Myers' unknowing nephew. Donald Pleasence plays a more stoic Dr. Loomis, and brings a new weight to the character after the scarring events st the end of 'Halloween II'. I know this may be blasphemy, but I almost enjoy this sequel more than part 2. 'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers' delivers, and has a knock-out ending to boot.
This is one of my favorites in the series. It had the scares, good acting, great music and of course, Michael returning to Haddonfield. Highly recommended!!!
