One of the the first films to start of the slasher genre. great special effects provided by the lengendary Tom Savini, great movie for its time.

pretty much friday the 13th here, a little different story but pretty darn similar, i failed to get into this film and felt it just seemed like so many other movies and didnt have much to stand out on it's own.

Very good slasher movie. Does what it's supposed to do...providing some scares and a decent amount of blood and gore. The raft scene is a classic. The score by Rick Wakeman started grinding on my nerves after awhile. However, I still enjoyed this movie. Slasher movies have become a rather stale formula as far as I am concerned, but this is definitely one of the best examples of the genre.

The Burning is definitely an overlooked and underrated slasher film. Cropsy is one of my favorite slashers and he is one of the most deranged. This film also brought some controversy in the UK because of the two scenes where Cropsy stabs the prostitute in the stomach with the scissors and the raft massacre. I loved the raft scene. It's practically one the best killing scenes that you can find in any horror movie. The Burining is definitely a movie to watch.

This was a pretty good slasher flick. The gore effects were awesome and Cropsy was awesome looking. The only thing is I wish they would have shown Cropsy more through out the movie. But all in all very good.

Great old slasher. Maybe not as good as Sleepaway Camp, but not much is. Lots of fun.

I can't kiss this movie's ass enough. I love slashers and The Burning is one of the best. Fantastic gore effects from Savini and top-notch acting make this a must-have for all fans of the genre.
