Another horror film that's been hyped up beyond belief. And yet again is a total let down when I finally get to watch it. This has nothing new to add to the slasher genre. The plot is dull; the twists are predictable right from the beginning. Cliché' moments throughout with spooky china dolls and children's Nursery rhymes. A deformed killer with complete with mask and mummy issues. That's not to say that it is all bad? I did still somewhat enjoy it. The acting is above par for a horror flick. William Sadler and Sophie Monk stand out in particular. Also there are some nice gore and unsettling moments of torture. But all in all I have seen much better attempts at 80's slasher homage's.

I was intrigued by this movie by the ads on this site. I loved the premise of an old horror film being buried out in the woods with a horror fan wanting/obsessing over the retrieval of it. I really liked and loathed this movie at the same time. Sophie Monk, besides the fact that she maybe smart and is using her body to make money, actually was the only outstanding performer in this film. Actually, I also have to include the actor who portrayed her sadistic and creepy father. The story is truly "disgusting"!!
True gore lovers and lovers of T & A will enjoy this film.

I honestly figured this movie would be horrible. But instead, I found myself really enjoying it. Ignore what the people say about it being a bad slasher film. It IS worth your time. It's the typical slasher film most would enjoy on a good, stormy night with a bowl of popcorn. (Well, for me, that is.) Lol.
This film is what 8 of the 10 Friday the 13ths should have been. It's a good time and I will be picking this up for my collection. It's good quality slasher! This is what Laid to Rest could have been if It had a better budget.

Another overrated piece of crap. The only cool thing in this movie is Baby Face look.
Posted By: markajacoby at 10:26pm, November 2, 2009
The only thing that saved this from getting 1 skull was I also watched "Drag Me To Hell" and I'm sorry nothing rates lower than that waste of time. This movie was so ridiculously predictable it wasn't even funny. Baby Face was a joke with kind of a cool mask. The killings were lame - okay, other than the girl getting ripped in half - and I'm still trying to figure out why people were grossed out by anything in this movie. The "film" sequences were lame with 90% of the gore off screen. Get out of here. You mean the daughter set the guy up? I told my wife that 2 minutes after we met her in the strip club. I don't know. Maybe I'm not on the same page as most people, but this new crop of horror films aren't worth the film they're made on.
I loved this movie, I just finished it. A movie full of betrayals and twists. This film was absolutely bananas it was unpredictable and full of bloody smut, killers, rednecks, teenagers, degenerates and whores. What more do you want in a horror movie... oh yeah a deformed supernatural manchild with a crazy mask thus we have Babyface. This is a really well thought out horror film. A movie for the 2009 film going audience this film had its bases covered. It kept me guessing while I was watching it. The premise was atention getting, 4 young adults shooting a documentary insearch for the lifes work of a legendary horror director in the shape of a infamous film no one has seen.
I have been looking forward to this movie ever since it was first announced the summer before last and i was not dissappointed
The story was amazing and very realistic and kept me intrested the whole entire movie
The characters were all awesome and beleivable and the acting was great
there was a good amount of blood and gore and that added to the goodness of the movie
babyface was a great killer though didnt appear as much as i thought he would
also Tad Hilgenbrick was as sexy as ever in this movie and was just omg the hottest character in this whole thing(yes im gay)
this is one of the best slasher movies ever made an done of the best of the year now in my list which also includes my bloody valentine 3d, drag me to hell, the final destination and jennifers body
PLOT:
"- A group of young horror fans go searching for a film that mysteriously vanished years ago but instead find that the demented killer from the movie is real, and he's thrilled to meet fans who will die gruesomely for his art."
REVIEW:
- When I saw first trailer for this movie he promising me that he will be good slasher movie. But after all he didn't accomplish that – why? Let me tell you why:
WHAT WORKS IN THE MOVIE:
- naked Sophie Monk and we have a good look on nautral female breast (small & big ones)
- William Sadler appearance
- movie intro (Babyface cut all his face with scissors followed by creepy lullaby song)
- basis of story and killer mask
- three scenes (two of them are conversation between the characters and one is murder of young woman by branches in woods)
- real face of Babyface (good make up)
- in some parts photography are top noch
WHAT DIDN'T WORK IN THE MOVIE:
- directing, script (dialog), editing and photography
- acting of all actors in movie specially that of veteran actor Wiliam Sadler
- bad copy paste of all better known slasher and survival horror movies
- Babyface character (one of worst slasher killers I ever seen) and the way of approach to the plot of the movie
- psychological profile of the Babyface
- lot of slasher clichés throw in plot without a fine finesse touch
- movie in movie are bloodier than the real movie
CLOSING REMARKS:
- Acting in the movie are so bad that I seen better acting in some amateur films, but worst of all that is that acting of veteran actor Wiliam Sadler (who have very good filmography in his career and have solid acting talent) in this movie is unconvincingly bad (Sophie Monk are close to that).
Dialog is weak and some expressed parts of text don't fit to the certain scenes in the movie and just because that they are so silly to the person who watch them. Camera work is one of worst that I seen lately (you don't know what kind of movie you watching amateur-do it in your back yard or B-horrror movie with low budget).
Worst of all that above is that Baybyface killer does not work in all his segments as slasher killer or only as killer (is he main bad guy of the movie or what? I don't know that). One more bad thing about our Babyface is that he is one of worst Jason Voorhees copies (and I mean Kane Hodder Jason) that we seen in horror genre (in recent times surely).
Director Dave Parker are one of those directors who have some idea what slasher genre is but he don't have talent to show us that and just because that we have movie that starts like "Masters of Horror": John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns (2005) and rest movie looks like abominable mix of ''Friday the 13th'' and ''The Texas Chainsaw Massacre''/ "Wrong Turn" movies. Did I mentioned that last 20 minutes of ''The Hills Run Red'' looks like some miserable torture porn movie? Yes he did.
"Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon" and ''Hatchet'' (both from 2006) are true slasher members….but this one for me is pure crap of horror movie.
p.s. – one of best horror movies this year "Trick 'r Treat'' (2008) didn't get any advertisement on net or TV but this crime of movie gets all the glory…for what? That is big shame and big injustice…
I actually enjoyed this film. It took an old school slasher concept and mixed it with a clever tale on film making. Although after you realize what is going on the film looses some of the magic.
i really liked this flic!! a cross between Hatchet and Hostel!! it was a little campy, but i don't think it took itself seriously....just some filmakers having fun. i enjoyed the ride!!
poor acting from the main characters, but a great movie overall the blond stripper was SOOOOOO hot and the footage on the tape was very very violent and the kills were very original. I recomend seeing this movie
Good movie. Baby Face was a pretty twisted killer(cutting of his own face). I enjoyed it and will watch it again.

Hello Babyface welcome to the party because you rock. This movie rocks it had gore, jumps and plenty of nudity. What more does a horror fan want.Fun,fun ,fun. For a DTV this was awesome and should set a standard for all to follow.First TRICK R TREAT and now THE HILLS RUN RED.Can't wait for sequels for both.Hope WRONG TURN 3 KEEPS THE BALL ROLLIN!

It isn't often these days that we get to see a new, good, original slasher. New slasher's are usually sequels or remakes. It's not that I don't like sequels and remakes, I do, but It's nice to experience something for the first time. Watching this movie for the first time reminded me of seeing F13 for the first time. Great movie, new movie, slasher movie. Awesome.
Definitely one of the better DTDVD movies that's been released. The twist is pretty predictable but there are more than enough good moments to make up for it. The movie starts off slow and takes it time but once it picks up it's relentless and the pay off is worth it. The story is standard slasher stuff but there are some nice diversions along the way, with one characters hard drug use and a love triangle of sorts. The acting is decent thanks to William Sanderson and suprisingly, Sophie Monk, but Tad Hilgenbrinck seems a bit miscast as the hardcore horror fan seeking out the infamous slasher. The script is nothing special but it's refreshing to see devices such as a character dial 911 and actually have phone reception out of the middle of nowhere. It's little touches like this and the ones i've mentioned that bring something a little different to it. The blood and gore is nasty and disturbing, except for a lame CGI kill, but once the film is in the final third it does have a TCM feel it. Plus, the ending is a suprise and a welcome departure from the usual 'final girl' scenario we see over and over in slashers. Horror is meant to be bleak and the ending to this is. Again, another touch that elevates this movie from it's awful DTDVD cousins. Throw into the mix a faux trailer for the movie the kids are chasing and you have a film with great repeat value that gorehounds and slasher nuts will enjoy over and over.
At the end of The Hills Run Red I didn't really feel much either way. I didn't hate it but then again, I wasn't doing backlfips for it. Some good moments (especially the acting turn of William Sadler and some good kills by a good villain, Babyface) but it was....missing something.
Take away the predictable twist you were hoping they wouldn't go with, the weak ending in a weak 2nd half, some mediocre acting and it might have been enjoyed more. So, it's better than a lot of crap out there and like one guy said below, it's watchable, just not rewatchable. A middling slasher film that won't leave a lasting impact.

The best way to start this review is by saying I had a lot of high hopes for this, the trailers, the pictures, the clips, it all looked amazing until you got to about mid-end, then I was let down in the best way possible. The Hills Run Red looks so good! Baby face is a pretty scary character (and I haven't seen that in a while), and the back story was another fine adjustment to it but other than that there wasn't anything too great as far as how good the movie was. The idea was genuine and I guess you can even say all the potiential was in the beginning, but after that, it kind of turned into some sloppy septic get up that still looked good but just didn't flow. I noticed that the build up's to each kill felt strong but just right before, fell off the edge. In a filimg point of view the cameras were cool and the effects were B+'ish, CGI was bleh and the acting was more sensible and true rather than convincing. There really isn't a lot to say about the movie other than I liked it (if only a little bit) and Baby Face is a cool character for our time, since lately none of the other killers of the past few years sparked interest. It might be fun to watch it if you want to stay in but it isn't worth too much effort (like the wasted kind I put into it) but even if you watch it and hate it to death it still deserves some credit.

This movie had a lot of potential at the beginning but quickly turned into a run of the mill backwoods horror movie. There was nothing really unique about any of it.
Posted By: chainsawboi25 at 11:51pm, October 5, 2009
I've seen worst but please let it be known that this film is really lame. The story is nothing that hasn't been explored. the whole hick horror thing has been done and done again (hills have eyes, wrong turn). And the whole movie within a movie thing has been done before and much much better (behind the mask, midnight movie). And as gruesome and nasty as this film claims to be. Without the audience feeling any type of involvement in the film or a spark of interest in the one dimensional unlikable character cutouts it's just not that effective. And it's really not all that gruesome especially comparing it to the crop of other better gore flicks that have taken over the genre (2001 maniacs, hostel, train). So what does the film have to offer nothing really it's shot pretty well but it's basically a glossy turd. I reccommend ignoring all of these ridiculously positive reviews and skipping it and go see Zombieland or Pandorum.

Yes, this movie had flaws. What movie doesn't?!
The Hills Run Red is filled with bad acting, clichés, predictable plot twists, and bad CGI.
But hey, it's also entertaining!
The first 30 minutes were boring, too much bad dialogue and bad acting, but I guess the nudity and the premise of a good story held me on for a little longer.
After the first 30 minutes, the movie is very entertaining! Like I said, there was some bad usage of CGI, but the deaths were still pretty good, especialyl for such a low budget film like this.
The story was good, nothing special, like I said, it's very cliché. But if a cliché is used well, it will work no matter what and that is the case in this film.
The film had a lot of great WTF?! moments, which I'm not going to ruin for you, but I was pleasently surprised at how cool some scenes were merely because I was not expecting them.
I also liked the opening for a possible sequel in the middle of the credits.
People complain about how bad The Hills Run Red was, hey, let me tell you something. The HIlls Run Red was TEN TIMES BETTER THAN A LOT OF SHIT COMING OUT THESE DAYS. Take Sorority Row, for exemple. It's a recent slasher that doesn't even come CLOSE to being as entertaining and cool as The Hills Run Red.
Thumbs up to the creators of this movie, who did a lot with very little.
This movie was decently paced (Although a little awkward at times) and was packed with some decent gore and action it felt forced. And still the good acting and great shots of the woods were good it doesn't make up for the fact that it wasn't an amazing film.
what is wrong with you people?! all i've heard were great things about this "movie" so i went out of my way to find and watch it. sadly, it was the biggest let down all summer (apart from that shit-fest "Grace") it was soooo cheesy and lame. i don't even want to go into detail anymore about it, because i've wated enough time on this piece of trash.

I've been pretty dissapointed lately searching for a new good horror film. Laid To Rest may have had extremely good gore effects, but it was a piece of turd aside from that. Along with Hatchet, this is one of the most enjoyable slashers I've seen in the last few years. Great acting, cinemography and a pretty decent story. Some of the gore effects were obviously CGI based but it really didnt detract from the experience. Seeing Babyface chasing the leads through the forest is a pretty ghastly/frightening image! AND the opening moments of the film had me screaming like a little girl. Fun movie, go do yourself a favor and see it.
Posted By: KerriPoppins at 9:22pm, October 5, 2009
The Hill Runs Red was outstanding! At first I was like,"NO not another mask killer, but story flipped it was very gorey, and the acting didn't suck.It wasnt to me like your typical slasher movie. This year I have seen a good portion of horror movies and lately I have been disapointed, untill I watched "THE HILLS RUN RED"!
Watchable, but not re-watchable. The gore is typical, therefore not amusing. The setup of the plot took way to long. And the killing parts where short-lived.
For a movie that obsesses about making a quality movie, the acting was horrible. I hate the blonde girl the most: UGLY looks and UGLY acting.
The twist was OK, but ruined by the acting. The brunette was decent enough, while the two guys where just guys. nothing memorable.
I hated Babyface. You really don't need a screwed up face to look scary. According to the blonde, Babyface just did that to himself. No explanation on why he did that to himself whatsoever. Ghostface was very simple and became the most popular slasher of this generation. An exaggerated villain look shows a desperation from the makers to scare the audience. And the part where Babyface used a gun was so retarded.
The 3 skulls are for the idea of the movie and the last 2 minutes. The two skulls that I left out are for the bad execution and bad acting.
A great new slasher film! The movie twists and turns to keep it original, Babyface is a creepy, badass, clever, new slasher villian. I highly enjoyed this movie. It was worth the DVD purchase.
Posted By: MikeScott22 at 11:28pm, October 4, 2009
This was OK. Definitely not deserving of a theatrical release. It wouldn't have been a big hit anyway, and I know I for one would have been disappointed if I saw it in theaters. It's a decent way to kill time on DVD though, it's just not theatrical-worthy.
Posted By: flesheater123 at 11:19pm, October 4, 2009
first up why didn't this get a theater release... this is better then half the shit h-wood puts out. Its a good old slasher flick that was cliche and not cliche. If that makes any sense. Pretty cool kills and the ending was pure good cheese gotta love that one part.. you'll know what I mean when you see it.
but its good to watch and kill some time too, not long at all.
The intire movie was amazing! until we get to the shitty ending! I mean what the hell!? hows it gonna end like that!? But the movie was a great slasher and babyface rocked! Sophie was amazing. and the main dude. But as for the cheating girlfriend and friend...well they got what they deserved! great slasher though.I recommend it even with the shitty ending.
Wanted to like it. Didn't. Fell asleep twice. Main "film geek" just didn't seem credible. Why would anybody care about these people? I've liked F13 victims more than anybody in this crew.
I was pretty unimpressed with this. The characters (especially Serena and the douchey best friend character whose name escapes me) were incredibly unlikable. Serena was a hypocritical bitch, the best friend was just completely obnoxious. I was rooting for them to be killed. Aside from the horrific writing (especially dialogue) the movie was passable... I wasn't impressed, like I said, but I did not hate it by any means. It was just forgettable.
i absolutly LOVED this movie! babyface is a Bad Ass!!! this is one of the best slashers in years. i thought the ending was great. reminded me of the texas chainsaw massacre. awesome movie! 9/10
The Hills Run Red was not such a bad film. I personally thought it would be worse, but the acting was not that bad for a lower budget slasher film. The story had a twist and the ending left you saying "what the hell just happened," but it was enjoyable to watch. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in watching a slasher film. Overall, I'd give this movie a 6/10.
It had great potential, but in the end it was sort of "meh" for me. The acting is fine and the effects were good, but in the execution of plot idea was somewhat flat and then messy at the end. I would certainly watch it again, but was a bit disappointed.
The Hills Run Red starts off very promising. I liked the concept of the kids going out looking for this "forbidden film". the woods setting was pretty creepy and the acting overall wasnt half bad. the kills were pretty cool and some were brutal in nature which i liked. the problem comes about half way through the movie and the plot becomes all a little convoluted and it all becomes a little out of control. pretty much it all falls apart about 50 min in. Babyface was a pretty cool villian, i liked his look, his brutality and i could have seen him becoming a new icon of horror was it not for a couple of minor problems. overall this movie did exceed my expectations and i was pleasantly surprised. if your a fan of horror, its worth a watch.
I really was looking forward to this film, and it was great! Some scene's dragged a little, the gore was a little lackluster,i think hatchet just spoiled me in that department, cause the gore was so good in it.Laid to rest i looked forward to also, while good but not great,i kinda feel alot better about this movie,i have watched it twice and feel it gets better, and more understandable, with each showing..great nudity from almost all females involved, good twist, keeps me coming back.
I've been looking forward to this movie for some time now. First off, the acting was above par for a horror movie which surprised me. The cinematography was excellent and the Bulgarian crew did an amazing job with what they knew about America and what they had to work with.
The film starts off with a punch, than slows down a bit for some excellent character development that kept me hooked up until the first kills. The few twists in the film are interesting and original enough.
I would recommend this film to all horror fans. Sophie Monk dd an amazing job while looking amazing as well.
The very end of the movie the look on the actesses face reminded me a little of Marilyn Burns face in the last few frames of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it was strange.
OK the movie wasnt bad at all it was very good the twist was good but i thought it was to big of a twist if she wasnt part of the killing it would of been alot better but the killing was great so over all it was a good movie.
This movie was (sic)! Very scary and gory kept me going..great job guys!
Posted By: IronFist2099 at 7:57pm, October 1, 2009
The movie was decent but as good as most people make it out to be. The kills weren't bad seeing Sophie Monk naked through most of the movie was nice but it was full of cliches and the plot was way beyond predictable. It was one of those movies where it thinks it's smarter than actually is. It's an ok rental.

Got my hopes up for nothing
I was really looking forward to this movie after reading the plot summary. The movie failed on every level. The pacing was terrible, the acting so so bad i couldn't stay focused on anything. When they watched this after the final edit, did they not care about all the plot holes. Its not extremely graphic to warrant what people are saying about it. The violence in this is used just for the sake of using it and feels wasted at times. The only good thing worth watching is baby face after he takes the mask off, very creepy looking and could have been used much better. The movie itself looked cheap and made for TV like. I have read that the director really thinks this is a work of ART. Sorry my friend, you need to watch some French or Spanish directors at work.
DAMN I dont know why but i find the story of this movie so interesting. I find horror movies all the time that I cannot get ahold of right away and I become a little obsessed with them for a while. It is just a very easy movie to watch...i liked it a lot.
great acting, great plot and pacing...SHIT KILLS! my god this was one of the main reasons i saw this was because i heard the kills were spectacular. what kills? the body count was low, and most of the kills were either CGI or CGI enhanced, and trust me the CGI sucked! other than this the movie was good, babyface was awesome!
Posted By: JCHellBlazer at 6:33pm, September 30, 2009
The word "cliché" gets thrown around alot, and true this contains all of them, but if your a guy, like that me, that just watches horror for pure enjoyment, then this film was awesome.
I loved it! the killer was kewl as f*ck, the acting was some of the best from a low budget I've ever seen, and the effects were great.
If this came out in the 80's it would be a classic now, but with todays competition it may just be a nice shelf-sitter, but great fun regardless and should be watched by anyone that loves slashers...
Posted By: Martyr-X at 11:36am, September 30, 2009
Bought it yesterday when i remembered it came out and glad i did, Damn good Slasher Flick! And i always enjoy the film within a film concept. but yeah, great killer, good story really good effect, specially for low budget, definatly worth the buy!
After hearing countless preview buzz and noticing the creepy mask on the sidebar that has plagued this website since I first began trolling the forums I decided to check it out, not knowing what to expect. Half of me thought it was going to be one of those dime-a-dozen slasher movies that flood the market every year around this time, while another thought it would be that diamond in the rough that would be great.
So I decided to start watching it and the opening scene was really surprising and seemed to be a promising that this movie was going to be pretty gory and interesting, boy was I wrong about that. The first two acts of the film seemed to have almost no real gore it was grainy DV footage from the guy trying to set up back-story that no one really cared about. I mean yeah, he’s a maniac who wore a doll mask. The whole scene at the truck stop seemed to be tacked on just so we could set up our first few kills.
Ah yes, the kills they seem to be okay a lot of the kills seemed very minor and trying to lead up to the know probably infamous “Tree scene” that had promise but the fact that they hinted at it every ten minutes then when they show it, it is just odd looking. It’s all CG fueled! I mean seriously? This is 2009 has the director not learned anything from Tom Savini or the guy who did the FX for Dead Alive?
Now the story seems to hold up pretty good on its own and it tries to pull that major SAW twist by leaving clues hinting at the twist. But anybody who can actually watch this film without falling asleep half way through it (Easier said than done) will know the twist.
Now Babyface is a great looking killer I loved everything about him even though a couple of his deaths left something to be desired to. I mean look at him, he had the potential to be memorable for his deaths he portrayed. But instead he decides to use a gun?!
The first time you see him on screen and kill someone and approach your all pumped ready to see a gore fest because the guys he does it to really deserve it and you see him shoot someone. Seriously, what the hell Babyface? You’re supposed to be a deranged killer using random tools and shit like we expect from a killer of his form and ability yet you decide to use a gun.
The one part I found entertaining was how they sang a nursery rhyme to calm him down and to stop killing and after reading this you will agree that the one scene of him being sang to will make you laugh and be shocked at the same time.
Remember earlier I thought I found a diamond in the rough? Well I found something in that dirt and it was not a diamond. It was like one of those fake misleading diamonds you see at the jewelry department at your local Wal-Mart. Overall I give it a 6 out of 10, it was a good attempt but I would not watch it again or want to see a sequel if this the best they can do on a straight to DVD movie.

I was very surprised with this movie. I think the story was very well rounded and had a decent plot. Unlike most movies coming out now, this one had a big sense of originality. Highly recommended by myself.

A solid low budget slasher, but not amazing. Honestly I had really high expectations for this film after hearing all the early positive buzz from test screenings, but the hype really ended up hurting it imo. If you go in with low expectations I'm sure you'll enjoy it alot more than me.

pretty fun movie

This movie was pretty good. I expected a lot more though. Babyface is awesome, some of the kills are creative, and the story is original. Its nice to see that someone finally got a new idea for a slasher film. I really hope to see a sequel to this, with a high body count and lots of creative and brutal kills. 8/10 for the originality.
C'mon guys, it's a straightforward B movie, and it delivered everything that I expected it to. It was bloody as hell, fast-paced, tons of nudity, and a creepy killer (who even had a theme song to boot). Highly recommended.
Posted By: AllMustPay at 3:17pm, September 29, 2009
Ehhh, had a great start I think setting up the storylines, got a little muddled when the "twist" was revealed and then extremely declined in value if you ask me in the last act of the movie. The killer was pretty cool costume wise, not enough backstory on him. Im glad slashers are still getting made because I am a huge fan, but this one just got confusing towards the end and could not keep up the momentum....
This was a very solid slasher film. Every person that loves these types of films than they should love this. Its got gore, tits, and the best part an awesome killer named Babyface. This was one of the coolest slashers ive seen since Laid to Rest. Very sweet film.
Pretty cool DTV release, I was really looking forward to this based on the trailer and the looks of the killer. Not as legendary as I was hoping it to be but definitely worth repeated viewings. The story seemed a little rushed together at times but some of the kills where pretty cool. Not sure if this is going to receive the sequel treatment or not, but I would love to see some more of Babyface and his further exploits.
So I have mixed emotions about this movie. Ill start with the things I liked. The Hills run red had some unique and brutal death scenes. First 2 min is some extreme squirmy gore. Loved it. Then concept is pretty different. A horror movie within a horror movie. Sophia Monk did a great job playing a screwed up gore freak. The killer is by far cliché. He brings some definte comedy to the mix.
Things I didnt like, the story draged on way to long. There was also some scenes the movie could have done without. Like all the nudity. dont get me wrong the women are hot, but come on. Also it shows that the main chacaters Girlfriend is sleeping with his best friend, however it never shows confrontation. The story trys to come together but kinda lacked in many ways.
With this movie your kinda put between a couple things, Do you love it for all the awesome gore and death scenes? Or do you hate it because the story flatlines and goes some what nutso on you.
Well for me, I love gore and story and I guess it gives enough of a story to be decent. the unquie death scenes and first 2 min save this movie from being a total let down. So yeah worth watching!
Posted By: Slasher_Guy at 12:49pm, September 29, 2009
Definitely one of the best slashers available on the DTV market. Does it have clichés? Yes, of course, it's a backwoods slasher. It is definitely light years better than any of those ultra low-budget, crappy hand-held camera slashers which fill up shelves. Babyface had a great mask and delivered some good kills, Sophie Monk was awesome and there was a f-in great 'tree' scene and a few nice twist and turns. Loved the film references throughout (like 'Scream') and even 'Shocktilyoudrop' had a cameo on a computer screen. For a 75 minute slasher, this is well worth it. 8/10.
