Director and writer Dave Payne, a graduate of the MFA program at the University of Iowa, delivers again in the sequel to “Reeker.” This film is bizarre, the dialogue ridiculous, the characterizations amusing and the setting, a vintage diner in the Nevada desert, Americana incarnate. It all works. Payne is clever.
I think I liked this movie more than I should. There were things I took issue with, but for some reason, I let them slide. This movie looks like a SyFy original movie. There are a few elements of comedy that I'd rather not have seen, but really don't sway my overall feelings. Really, the only thing I would have really wanted changed was the SyFy aspect of it. It just seems a bit too light-hearted, but it is a very, very cool and fun movie.
I'm very impressed with Ghost House Underground. I haven't seen one movie of theirs suck yet: they are all 7/10 and above.
With this movie, I think you'll be glad you watched it. It's bloody and wicked enough to satiate your horror side, and it is quarky enough to satisfy your entertainment side.

The original reeker movie is better than no mans land. But its interesting on how the reeker became the reeker. But it had fake blood scenes. But it still good.

The pace was good and the story was written well. The acting not too bad.
The killer's design was fresh and the twist of the smell was a great idea.
i actually rented this movie & sat thru it, reviews were mixed, so i wanted to see it for myself. it started out kinda strong, which was promising, then about 1/3 of the way thru it got dumb. really, really dumb. i'm not much of a fan of science fiction, so maybe that's it. some of the scenes are creepy in a 'saw' way, & i liked the idea of reeker the killer, but i think somebody dropped the ball along the way when i came to believability.

I saw the first "Reeker", 'cause I read a few raving reviews and I thought the premise was quite unique.
Unfortunately I didn't think the movie lived up to the hype surrounding it. A tad boring & confusing at times and not really scary or bloody at all.
Still I wanted to check out this sequel/prequel/companion piece as soon as possible! Call me a sucker for cheap & cheesy DTV-trash.
And to my surprise I ended up really liking it!
This isn't really a sequel or a prequel to the original movie. It's more like a reimagining of the original concept.
This movie looks better than its predecessor, it has a great plot, nice characters, a nasty looking villain, some great gore & visual effects and a lot of explosions!
So all in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and I would definitely recommend it. Even if you didn't see the original "Reeker".
Also, be sure to check out the dvd, 'cause it has a entertaining and very informative director's commentary on it.

a strange mixture of sci fi/ horror/ and a bit of action and a little comedy here and there for good measure. i found the movie very interesting right from the start, i felt it was all pretty unpredictable, which for the genre is rare, i loved the strange elements of sci fi here and there, which i wont spoil or get into, but one of the better ones of the ghost house underground 8 films. not as good as dark floors, but pretty close
