Unless you know crowley's occult practice you will be lost. This film serves more as a gateway to practice the occult that a narrative film.
Which in my mind makes this really freakin evil. But just because something is evil doesnt mean its entertaining.
Right? Right... It started well then lost me, slow, they dont explain what the ceremonys mean nor do they really go into the meanings behind them. So if your going to make a 2 hour movie about crowley coming back from the dead with little or no violence you might as well explain what the heck is going on!
A mess... just a big mess. Here is an idea why dont you try turning crowleys life into a film. He is fasinating. An autobiography would be something worth your time.

I was really looking forward to this. I have read a few of Crowley's books plus on really well researched biography on him. To put it as simple as I can: The guy made Charles Manson look like Mr. Rogers. Not only was the guy a pedophile he was an absolute nut case as well. To the above poster: I don't think Ozzy Osbourne admired Crowley. He simply wrote a song about him and the evil life that he lived. If you listen to the lyrics his song "Mr Crowley" doesn't glorify Crowley at all. I got into him through being a huge fan of Jimmy Page back when I was in my late teen years. Anyway, this movie was so so. I'm a huge Dickinson fan(as well as Iron Maiden) so I was curious to see what he could come up with. Like I said; the results were so so. This is one of those movies I'll probably watch again a year from now just to see if it was as bad as I thought it was the first time I saw it.
Great movie for those who understand the references to real-life happenings and who appreciate a bit of humour mixed into their occult "horror" movie. Uncle Al would approve.
This movie just as I thought it would sucked... REally people want to watch this ??? Crowley was a nut in real life he loved himself and children.. But whatever this movie sucked!!!! sorry but it did.
This was terrible, first of all, let me say this, anybody who "likes", "admires", "respects" or "studies" anything to do with aliester crowley is a complete idiot and scum of the earth, this guy was a notorious pedophile and even himself claimed to have raped over thousands of children, so anybody (including ozzy, bruce dickinson, marilyn manson and THE BEATLES and JIMMY PAGE) who talk about this guys "work" is a fucking piece of shit, they GLORIFY a PEDOPHILE, all of you jackass' can twist it around, modify facts and say whatever else you want, but anybody who glorifys a pedophile in anyway is a piece of shit in my book...and my book isnt "sex magik".
The only reason i started watching this film which i turned off after an hour just because it was a terrible film to start, was because It was still called "chemical wedding" and i had no idea about the premise or story before hand, i downloaded it randomly from the "horror genre" and later found out that it was about crowley during the film, i still would have at least finished the movie if it was a good movie to begin with, but not only was this idea terrible, but the film's execution in general was just awful. the only reason this film will get any sales on dvd is because of idiots who "follow" crowley or "follow" bruce dickinson.
