An entertaining but unoriginal backwoods slasher movie. It just was way too familiar and routine and predictable and it makes it very forgetable. The actors were ok but kind of blah characters. The killings were pretty gory but nothing we have not seen before. It didn't bring anything new or interesting to the genre and I am kind of getting bored with these type of horror movies. The ending opens a door for a sequel, I hope they improve on this or they mind as well keep it buried. I can't believe this got a limited theatrical release while a handful or more direct to dvd movies are much better and more deserving than this.
Not a bad film overall, but my willing suspension of disbelief was abated when we entered the undergound shrine-like procreation chamber... too nice and neat, with all the new candles spaced accordingly. When you're into abduction and torture, there's really no time to keep house.
Gripping. It starts off as many satisfying films do, with a little introduction to what you are most likeyl going to see later on in the film. The film is very realistic, and very fast paced once it gets into the story which is very very gripping. Some scenes were like the greatest film ever invented "Wrong Turn" but i guess with the loosely similar plot, some scenes will have that effect. The gore was pretty average, but then again i wasn't expecting there to be much.
The plot is loosely similar to Wrong Turn by which i mean with the hillbilly's in the woods. The plot is realistic and is hard to look away in case you might miss something. Majority of the plot was predictable but that didn't make it less watchable, but more enjoyable.
The acting was good, and very realistic, with the panting and crying.
Overall Timber Falls is a gripping watch, but will bore you if you don't like the hillbilly themed movies. My rating is 3/5.

I actually liked this movie. When I read the synopsis I thought oh god another movie that has been made a hundred times. But at least this movie pulls it off pretty well.
Worth Watching, Timber Falls was a combination of various movies but it wasn't a bad movie. Anything with good acting is worth alot nowadays.

This movie was disturbing. Not scary tho. Haha. Over all I thought it was good, and deserves more credit. It would have been better without it's ending tho!
I don't think the slack Timber Falls has taken is quite fair. If you are looking for a deep meaning movie then it probably is't for you but if you are looking for shocks and gore there is plenty in abundance.
The Story itself is pretty mucked up that adds up to the twisted feel of the movie and adds another dimension to it altogether.
The main two actors, Randall and Brown make their characters whilst wholly shallow, very convincing. And after a certain amount of time in the movie your sympathy swings their way.
All in all I thought it was a movie watching, with more promise than others might think, and worthy of at least one viewing so you alone can make up your mind. Good, bloody movie!

starts off interesting in a small way, ends up unfolding as if it was a stretch for another wrong turn film, it's pretty similar to alot of films, and doesnt really carry it's own identity as a stand alone classic, the plot was not that great in what the intentions of the villian(s) were, and the (SPOILER) twists mid on about who is involved and who isnt wasnt very unpredictable, i could see it coming a mile away.
next time you see timber falls and think about watching it, just check out another similar film that actually has a better plot, better acting, and more scares.

Mr. disgusting bashes this movie 2 hard. i just rented it and it was actually pretty good. This movie is a good blend of Wrong Turn and a little bit of hostel. The love story in this movie was something i enjoyed and the killer was actually kinda cool.The family was as crazy as hell and there motives are pretty original. i think this movie shpild of had a chance in theatres. i bet it would have been better in theatres than doomsday and untraceable.
