There were some great acting performances but the plot was a bit weak. I liked the overall idea, but thought it could have been done better. It was definitely unique though.

Robert Carlyle is amazing in this film.
I love everything about Ravenous from the acting to the Directing and script. A definit 9 out of 10 a must see!
sometimes i wonder if anybody even saw this movie?Well if you havent you missed one weird movie but it works realy well with the setting and charecters a very different well done movie!
I watch this film again and again and one big thought goes through my mind. "Why is this movie so unknown?"
I want everyone who has seen this movie to show it to at least one of your horror loving friends. It deserves so much more credit than it's been given. It is a truly unique movie. I mean, Robert Carlyle as a cannibal? Can you ask for more? Even if you could, you'd probably get it. The soundtrack is very simple sounding, and yet so damn powerful. There is a genuinely disturbing moment when *SPOILER* Guy Pearce is in a hole, both legs broken, and starving. He's got a dead buddy in there with him, and his only way of surviving is to eat him. His acting mixed with the music in this scene is...well, intense.
Go rent the movie. And, if you are a true horror collector, just buy it. You will not regret it.
Great flick, I caught it on IFC a while back. Very primal, & lotsa red-stuff. Great popcorn flick!!! Very under-rated film. One of the best "eat 'em up" flicks out there!!! Great scenery & soundtrack as well!!!

Not sure why I like this film as much as I do. Perhaps it is the time period or locations, whatever. The violence and gore quotient is pretty good. Robert Carlyle is over-the-top and is superb.
Really appreciated this film, as well. I personally liked Guy Pierce in this role, but to each their own. This truly isn't that frightening of a film. I think that the blood and gore is actually what got this film labled in this genre. And it is at times gratuitous. This film, is energetic and captivating. A must see for any genre fan.

Great movie. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has had the moral dilemma of 'to eat or not to eat.' That is the question.
I loved the acting especially, and a grade A script kept the suspense and tension coming. I didn't like Guy Pierce for some reason - he didn't change his expression much in the film.

Undeniably the best cannibalism film ever made. Robert Carlyle is a mad freakin' genius.
This movie is awesome. I watched this movie when it came out and was blown away. I know that my friends were impressed at the pick. Since then i remember to tell people about this movie from time to time. I would like that tell anyone who wants to watch a good movie that is well done, though not scary, this is the movie to watch. Enjoy all.
