my god, this film was an absolute disgrace...where do i begin?? everything from the plot to the acting was absolute SHIT! god these actors must've felt so embarassed doing this film! yea, it's that bad. i can't even call this a remake, it had nothing to do with the original. and why the hell is the dvd unrated?!? this could've definitely passed for a PG-13...hell maybe even a PG. it's completely bloodless, and a complete waste of time and celluoid
Another crap remake. This differs a little from the original but is so stupid i could laugh. The ending was so predictable and it makes the whole film feel like a joke. There was no suspense, thrills, and no real horror. Just a boring waste of money, and time. If they wanted this to work they could’ve handed over the script to a well known director that would make the film better quality and make suspense and at least a little blood. In every way this is predictable, they try to make you believe that someone is the killer but it’s obvious they aren’t because of the prank they pulled at the start. I wouldn’t even reccomend hiring this utter waste of time. Yet again another sloppy remake that doesn’t outdo the original. All my favourite remakes have outdone the original unless the original is higher on my list of favourite movies. I don’t see why they need to remake every horror film of the 70s/80s when they can think of new ones themselves. Horrors these days that are original and not being based on another film or book tend to do gross more than remakes.
The plot was predictable and utterly suspensless. I wouldn’t even class this as horror. this would be classed as crap and should be destroyed. The plot could’ve been better adapted on screen by a better director who knows what they are doing rather than a direcotr no one has ever heard of. I believe this film will probably break his/her career.
The acting was the most utterly pathetic i’ve ever seen. Apart from the rare believability, the acting is nothing short of disastrous.
Overall this pathetic remake has no gore, suspense, thrills, twists and most of all nothing that would make it seem like a horror movie. My rating is 0.5/5
Absolutely terrible. I was anticipating its release, as a big fan of the original. Unfortunately, they left all of the dark humor, convincing deaths and good cast (excluding Scout Taylor-Compton) back in 1986.

I enjoyed this movie more than the original. It reminded me of Cruel Intentions meets I Know What You Did Last Summer... Without the humour or scares - It was more about who-did-it. It's so far from the original that they might as well have just made it a sequel. If you want to see this movie, I suggest renting before buying.
I would rather watch Charmed reruns with my wife than watch this crap again. I didn't like the Butcher Brothers before, but now I'll avoid them like the plague. So don't be fooled by my half-skull rating, they won't let you give zeros (or negative ratings like this garbage deserves).
I usually love remakes(And if you didnt liked Rob Zombies Halloween EAT SHIT)but i was really disapointed with this one and Prom Night because it haves nothing to do with the original but its not that bad because the only thing that this one is compared to the old one is the twist ending,the dark comedy and the film is about a killer but i think this is good because it haves great acting,Scout Taylor Compton appears and makes a great performance and for the idiot who maked the comment on bloody disgusting should know whats great acting and should not spend time watching pieces of crap like Hostel.
Remake After Crappy remake.I Have To say This Is One of My Top ten Worst Movies Ever.The Cast Sucked The Ending Sucked.Even the So Called acting Sucked.All in All If Youre Looking For A Great remake Or Just Looking To be Scared Just a Tiny Bit Pick Up Dawn Of The Dead.Or Even The Hills Have Eyes.

Had this not been a remake - it would have been very cool. Nice plot twist and a hot young cast. I will rate it only on it as a sole movie and not its comparison to its predecessor.
oh MY god. This film was a debauchery. They say the orig. was crap, but it was good(not PHYSCO material) but a'ight. This is a case of horror remake gone bad.

the only reason i latched on to this movie was because i was told it was a remake of the origanal ( one of my fave comedy horror movies)
and it was not even close. that aside the movie ie self was boring i guessed plot half way thru.

Ok... I'm gonna get my ass chewed out for this... but I just bought the damn thing today to see if the rumors were true... and Its not a great film... but I don't know... its worth watching once i guess lol.... it's ok--ish
Why? Oh dear God, WHY??? What is the point of remaking these movies (April Fool's Day, Prom Night, Terror Train) if all they have in common with the original is the title?! Hey, I'm gonna make a suggestion.... How about for the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" remake, they make it really annoyed and somewhat rabid chipmunks???
