One of the scariest, intense and shocking horror movie I've seen in years. It's brutal, disturbing and a terrifying journey into the darkest side of humanity. The acting was believable and the ending made my jaw drop. Hollywood forget torture/porn and watered down PG-13 crud and make horror movies scary again. The french know their horror movies. Highly recommended!
The Strangers and ILs have one thing in common...they are way overhyped. I can't say I enjoyed this film, the twist at the end had me scratching my head, in a "The Fuck?" fashion. Sure it was somewhat original...but original isn't always a term for good. For me, I guess I didn't see what all the rave reviews were about because, it just didn't feel scary to me, at all. And I did see this before The Strangers, and I didn't like The Strangers that much either.
But I will say, that the French are really stepping things up, and are making some really enjoyable (and sometimes gnarly films) and it's always fun to see what they have planned next.

A rich man's THE STRANGERS. Skip that overrated hunk of junk and watch this French masterpiece instead.

I was so hyped up for this film, everybody saying how scary it is, and yada yada. Well folks sorry to say his has to be the biggest marking scam i have ever witnessed in my life. SPOILERS...
KIDS COME ON you gotta be kidding me retarded looking grimy kids who live in sewers. Give me a break. I was expecting something cool. Okay I admit I was freaked out in the first 5 mins. That was freaky. Everything after was just boring snoozing shit.
The characters were horrible, i didn't like them at all. The plot was paper thin, the running time was very short but it had to be THANK GOD anything longer and I would of shot myself. This flick was the biggest let down since Frotieres another movie everybody raved and ranted about, I still say INSIDE and HAUTE TENSION are the way to go.
And wait didn't these dimwits also fuck up the eye remake. I am pretty sure. Well anyways this movie failed, and the ending oh man I was cracking up they hop on the bus and drive away. WOW.
I find this to be the most over-rated move since Frontiere(s). There is/was so much web-hype for no reason. This movie has no life blood. It's so very generic and I cannot fathom why so many people insist it's brilliant.
I honestly find the poster for the movie more interesting than the storyline.
Pretty scary at times but the MALE lead character got on my nerves so bad ... I like the plot twist in this film wich I kinda felt "the strangers" lacked ... but I was creeped out a little bit in this film ... and after reading the bloody disgusting REVIEW for the strangers on here i was thinking this would be the better of the two films ... but i just watched the STRANGERS and it made me more scaired ...and waty less annoyed. I think that THEM desearves a veiwing just for the shock of when you find who the stalkers are... "huffin little maniacs"
Good movie... but I did like 'The Strangers' better. I only make the comparison because it seems a lot of other people are too -- and I definitely understand the comparison. It was very much like The Strangers, but I disliked the characters in this one. They made incredibly stupid decisions (yes, worse than the ones in 'Strangers') and were just very unlikeable in general for some reason. But, the tension was good and the acting was great.
The tension in this movie was good and it had some good parts but overall I thought the movie sucked. It was pretty boring. Those are some crazy ass little kids I will say though.
