I like a good low budget horror movie from time to time and I appreciate the effot but I found this movie to be really annoying.

I think it would defintely appeal to the gothic kind but for a average chap like myself it just isn't the least bit amusing.

I truly loved this movie! It felt like more of the original texas chainsaw massacre (1974) then the 2003 remake and begining. The kill scened were stunning and made me yell out loud they were so explicit, The drinking of the acid by the woman who eventully lost all of her control and the body fluid and gore came spilling out of her.... you can figure out the rest! We had the use of a nail gun and the infamous chainsaw. I cant forget about the sexy dance with the two girls, wow!

All in all any chainsaw movie fan should def see this movie!

CHAINSAW SALLY comes ripping though your t.v. presenting what is destined to be the most talked about straight-to-DVD indie release cult classic of 2007. CHAINSAW SALLY introduces a new type of energy to the horror/gore genre, a powerful female icon who is the main character. For years, CHAINSAW SALLY has been building a hype, whether intentional or not. We've seen the trailers and pictures on the net of beautiful busty actor, April Monique Burrill, who plays Sally, dressed in sexy freak/goth clothing masterfully wielding a chainsaw. Every man is interested in the sex appeal of Sally and also with the thrill of the chainsaw which is generally associated with THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Women are attracted to Sally but seem to find safety and empowerment with the images of this strong female who seems to be taking charge in a sometimes perceived "mans world". CHAINSAW SALLY carries with it an explosive soundtrack filled with punk/rockabilly anthems that tie together the action, gore, humor, and horror of this perfect film by writer/director Jimmy O Burril. Just to mention, if you recognize the Burrill family name, Jimmy is April's husband. Young Sally is also played by little cutie Lilly Burril, who is their daughter. Keep an eye out in the future from this family ....watch out Zombie, Romero and Hooper, there is safety in numbers!!!!!!

The story of this masterpiece takes place in the little town known as Porterville. In the prime of their childhood, ten year old Sally and little brother Ruby , witness the brutal slaying of their parents. The trauma from the murders is the catalyst for young Sally's interest and thirst for bloody revenge that she carries into her adulthood. Sally is a mousy productive member of society who works at the local library shushing loud patrons by day and by night plays judge, jury, and executioner to those who she views as evil doers.

This film features a cameo of GUNNAR HANSEN from noted TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE fame, who plays Sally's short lived father. Let's not forget Gordons Hardware store owner is played by HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS from the films BLOOD FEAST and TWO THOUSAND MANIACS. With actors such as them representing the horror/gore genre you would expect there to be blood and oh yes, there will be vats of blood and other body fluids. CHAINSAW SALLY lets the zippy one-liners fly faster than the body count rises and that topple quick witted comments from previous genre related movies that are even more memorable than BABY'S one-liners from DEVILS REJECTS . One of my favorite one-liners is, "You should never f**k farm animals, it'll rot yer twinkie off and make ya smell funny!"

Bless you Jimmy O!!! You managed to pay homage to the horror classics, remain unique and still bring a well needed breath of fresh air into the rotted and decrepit lungs of modern horror. We will look back in 20 years and still appreciate this film and the strength, beauty, and independence of your leading character CHAINSAW SALLY!
