That first picture isn't even from the Wishmaster series! It's from one of the Phantasm movies. Can't think of which one. Probably the 2nd or 3rd...
Anywho, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Leaps and bounds better than the 3rd but, sans Divoff, it feels stilted. It's potential isn't fully reached. And, as the BD review already says, some scenes are freaking awkward. The Djinn should not be sword fighting some dude in broad daylight!
Aside from that major gripe, it hits a few other bumps along the way but is totally passable as a fun addition to the series. Just erase the 3rd from your memory.

meh, not horrible as long as you know it isnt a serious movie by any means. The first one was amazing, this one was just a way to pass time.
