To me, "I Sell The Dead" could very easily be passed off as a modern day entry into the "Hammer Horror" series of films. Considering it was shot in New York, it does a very good job at convincing you it was shot in 19th century England.
"I Sell The Dead" follows Arthur Blake(Dominic Monaghan: Lost) and Willie Grimes(Larry Fessenden: Director of "The Last Winter") two people who make their living robbing graves. Starting to struggle, the pair figure out where the real money in grave robbing is made, the undead.
I absolutely loved this film, although a warning beforehand, it's more of a quirky comedy than it is a horror film. The script is amazing, and is very well delivered by all the actors involved. Dominic Monaghan turns in an especially impressive performance.
My one gripe with the film, is there is one scene of flaky CGI, you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. It stands out like a sore thumb in this otherwise, amazing film. If you're entertained by Quirky, independent, Horror/Comedy films, you can do no wrong by watching "I Sell The Dead." And, like I said before, if you're a fan of the Hammer Horror series, you're in for a treat.
