To me, this IS THE BEST HORROR FILM OF ALL TIME!!! I love everything about it; the acting, the characters, the plot, the setting, the dialogue, the music, the suspense, the pumpkin during the opening credits, the awesome ending! I love that it takes place on Halloween and has a psychpathic killer named Michael Myers killing people and Dr. Loomis is trying to stop him! If you love old-school classic horror, I definitely recommend HALLOWEEN!!!
This movie is amazing and that is why it is my favorite Horror Film of all time hence my user name Rob Zombie could not even come close to his vershion being a worth companion.

i first saw this when i was very young and it has remained one of my favorites throughout the years, even today its one of my all time favorites.
Its perfect, the pacing, the lighting, the cast, everything.
I think its Micheal's emotionless expression and john carpenters haunting score that make this movie so chilling, also the sense of dread through the whole film really keeps you on the edge of your seat
Truly one of, if not the best horror / slasher flick out there
i recommend you see this at least once in your lifetime, you will not be dissapointed
