the idea of the movie was good and had alot of potential but the quality of the video and acting ruined anything it had going for it. idk why they used such a shitty quality video, i personally hate that style so maybe its just me but i hated this movie
I thought this was really good. One of the best twist endings ive seen in awhile.

The general plot of the movie is pretty good, but the acting is horrible and ruins the whole movie. Also, the reasoning behind how they are able to elude the authorities makes no sense.
i think it is total shit bits!!!! if you are going to have a vampiric movie, then wouldnt it make sense to reveal it at the beginning??? i didnt really think this movie was even that much of a horror film to begin with!!!
considering horrorfest this wasn't total garbage disposal feed.
the end was good, intresting with the incest and the odd plot, but hah it's not the total shit bits!
After first watching "The Hamiltons" I didn't care for it .The story kinda sucked and I was expecting lots of gore which there wasn't much of but there were some good scenes with the twins and some good and slightly weak plot twists that eventually led to an ending of sort
Maybe not the greatest movie on the subject, but definitely not the worst either. I watched this film without any expectations, and had literally heard almost nothing about it. Despite some directing errors and gaps thorough the film, the directors show the signs of great story tellers. Maybe the timing between revelations leading to the ending have been slightly neglected which causes a few ‘flat line’ moments in the suspense metro meter. It’s quiet obvious of what they are after about 30 minutes into the movie, but it’s not the topic itself, but how you show it to the audience. The real look of the film is one of it strong cards. The actors are pretty good on the digital production and do have the merit of carrying the story, not without a few low down moments, but again, the screenplay should have timed better each revelations.
Giving credit where credit is due, the ending is quiet satisfying, and we all know that’s not always the case, far from that. One of my favorite movies is The Addiction, because of it realistic take on the subject, this is why I give The Hamiltons two thumbs up.
i was expecting total crap seeing as all of the other 8 films sucked ass....this is the one acception to the rule ,with little gore and alot of charecter development this movie stands out to me!I think they did a great job!
It was like my dog tried to film a homemade episode of dawsons creek...But not as sweet!

the concept of this movie was great, i was intrigued from the get go. i'm not going to say anything about the plot cause if you havn't seen it i don't want to spoil any thing for u. but out of all the 8 films to die for it was with out a doubt the best. if u like something differt in a horror movie i would check it out.

Very interesting film. Not quite what I was expecting but I really liked where it went and the ending worked perfectly.
This is one of the few films of the 8 Films to Die For that I actually enjoyed for a majority of the movie. Pretty good acting and a good story. I give about a 7/10.
Definitely not your run of the mill horror film. Almost like a family drama gone to hell. Slower paced, but really creative and interesting. I thought that I had it all figured out, but the last 15 minutes threw in a twist that I honestly did not see coming that explained things without being too "hurry up and finish the film". The ending also lended an odd humanity and compassion for the characters as well. Don't be put off by the slower pacing of the film. It's one that grows on you. Definitely one of the most original "horror" films that I have seen...Not nearly the gore that is alluded to by the reviews though...
The Hamiltons is a brilliant and brainy horror movie with a very clever story. The acting is uniformly excellent especially the scary brother and sister whose cruelty is very chilling. Watching the characters develop and this dysfunctional family's secrets slowly unfold caused me to love this movie.

Plays more like a boring family drama than anything, some people will love this film, im not one of those.
Well what can i say,the acting was just ok, the story was kinda different. It wasn't terrible but then it wasn't that good. It was just an average horror movie with a twist. The ending was kinda corny with Lenny but what do you expect after watching the whole movie. Worth watching when you have nothing else to do.
Being a hardened horror fan who has trawled through some real howlers, I can safely say this certainly isn't one of them.
The performances do sometimes let it down and reflect the fact that this is a low budget film. Having said this, the characters are all still convincing enough to bring this film to life.
It's beautifully shot having clearly had a lot of thought put into it's visual style. It manages to bring real atmosphere and a bleak and unsettling darkness to your screen.
It's nice to see something different and succeeding instead of churning out the same old stuff. For this we can forgive it any budgetary shortcomings.
This film offers a modern, urban slant on an old and sometimes hackneyed genre.
It reminds me of another good low budget horror, Ginger Snaps.
Well worth a look.
This was not at all interesting. Pay off was very disappointing. Saw this at the After Dark Horrorfest and when HDV is shown on the big screen it only amplifies the negative aspects of shooting digitally. Mad props though for After Dark bringing more indie horror to the big screen.
