I hated the first one and wasn't keen on seeing this one but it was on tv, I was bored and it wasn't like the first one so what the hell.
Despite the fact that I can sit back and point out the complete stupidity of the 6 idiot characters and become really frustrated with their lack of common sense I actually found that this 'sequel' had some redeeming qualities. Yes, it had a shitty ambiguous ending, yes, it attached itself to 'Open Water' to sell, and yes, pretty apparent solutions to their predicament were ignored (I guess if it wasn't for their stupidity and panic we wouldn't have much of a movie so if you can eventually buy into the fact that they didn't think of clasping hands and boosting a girl up or having the skinny chick instead of the beefiest dude climb up their makeshift rope or having the American flag easily rip or doing the thing they do in the end at the beginning...etc.) and no way some of this stuff occurs.
But hey, I liked the mood, I was entertained and found it be - though flawed - a better-than-expected movie. And I actually think the absence of sharks in this is a very good thing. Worth a watch.

Open water 2 is a movie where absolutely nothing happens. You wait a good hour and ten minutes and then question, "Is anything going to happen?". The problem isn't that it sucks, which is a problem in itself, but for a movie where it's predecessor had sharks, guess what? This movie doesn't even have one shark, it doesn't even hint at a possible chance of there being one. Not only that bad the story and acting sucks. Seriously, are these people really that stupid? I have a feeling this movie was made for the sake of money. Not one thing interested happened. It was like watching paint dry, seriously. I didn't give it zero skulls because the visuals looked pretty nice and the cast was pretty attractive, but skip this movie. Again, the problem isn't that the movie is bad, which is funny because that's also a problem. It's that nothing happens. There's not even one shark in this movie. Trust me on this one.
Didnt watch it but im positive that its absolute shit and probably worse than the first if thats possible. This is probably the plot, Oh im back from the dead and im still floating in the water.
didn't think it was as bad as people are saying. besides the non existing sharks, this is basically the same as open water, only with more people and a boat.
