This movie is something you don't see that much of anymore. It's a slow burn movie that lulls your senses into a false security.
You won't expect when or why the first death in the movie happens. It just does and it works. The rest of the movie is just a tense as hell trip through the woods. You don't know when the next death is coming around the corner.
A lot of people say this movie is slow and boring. It's not your typical today's horror movie. it hearkens back to the days of the 70s horror movies where it's build before action. It's got an appropriate sense of gore and not an overabundance.
For an aspiring filmmaker, this flick should be an inspiration. It was done for fairly cheap and has garnered a lot of attention in a lot of big festivals, SXSW being one of the big ones.
The actors were very good as well. They all came off very natural and not annoying or bad like most low budget horror movies.
I ask everyone to go into this movie not expecting some big block buster, but a very cool, low budget indie thriller horror.
I hope to have more of these types of movies being made because I for one completely dug this movie.
I'm all for slow-build simplistic movies but i just could not take this movie. 95 percent of this movie is a guy walking. I felt like i was watching a Gus Van Sant movie (i literally believe he will someday make a movie entitled "Walking" and it will be 2 hrs of just that). If i wasnt such a purist when watching movies and didnt believe in fast-forwarding a movie, i could have fast-forwarded through the movie to watch only the parts where something is actually happening and then the movie would be about 10 minutes long. I like the style he was going for but sorry, it made my brain melt.

I very much liked this movie. The premise is so simple, yet West did it so well. The tension built very well. Trigger Man...You know someone is going to get shot...but who?...when?...How?!!! Very well done. This ones a Keeper!
