unbelievable characters and a declined interest in even the coolest genre stars in ken foree and sid haig who obviously, along with bill moseley has been making alot of money in crappy horror films and it sucks because the 3 of those guys are legendary genre stars and it only takes away from that status by continuing to appear in such films as this one.
ken foree is great in FROM BEYOND & DAWN OF THE DEAD and even DEVIL's REJECTS & his cameo in Zombie's HALLOWEEN.
and sid haig is always a funny looking guy who just doesnt look right with vampire teeth, he should have just played a mean old grandpa out to kill them, not be one of them.
this movie was 110% terrible. it was an uphill battle just to get past the first 15 minutes. the entire film had a very "soap opera" tone to it, the acting was up that very same alley. the effects scenes were terrible constructed by speeding up the scenes to almost beyond fast-forward. there was even an exterior shot stationary shot of some cars that was sped up, who knows why. this whole movie looked as if it were filmed on a budget of $100 at a haunted house during its daytime off-hours. horrible.
you guys, i really wanted to like this movie. i'm a fan of sid haig, & the idea of teaming him up with ken foree seemed like such a great idea, i couldn't wait to see it. but,..it's not good @ all. cheap sets, not even basic gore, just blood splattered around, & the plot is pointless. vampire hunters who are vampires (?) teaming with humans to destroy some guy named vlad. very dull, no excitement & foree spends most of his onscreen time chained up. when it was over, i wasn't even sure it was the ending, the plot seemed to scatter all over the place. most annoying was the cheap fake teeth the vampires had to use, we had better stuff to wear for trick or treating!
