This film is very underated, I loved the story about war and how we "create our own monsters" very interesting and fascinating, although the animal in this one isnt as realistic looking as the one in rogue, this movie still is very entertaining and interesting to watch, it's not a brilliant film, but the genre doesnt require that sometimes.

Mostly disapointing. I won't even go into a huge review here because others members have summed up my opinions quite nicely already. Simply put, I wanted a monster crocodile movie and instead got another lesson in the terrible true-life tyranny of Africa. Sure, the big ole Croc does some decent damage, as well as some very good CGI effects, but the whole plot of "don't go to Africa, even if you're Black" weighed-down the movie for me. I bet though if they lightened up the plot to be more like say Anaconda (which I'm not a huge fan of) and just got to the "direct-to-video-sequel" point, this might be better viewing the next time around. But again, I picked this up for only 3 bucks, and it's worth that to sit in my "Monsters Among Us" collection.
Funny thing....so I saw an advert for the new BBC series called Primeval (the BBC?!!?), noticed the new cast staring through the mouth of what looked like a killer Croc, and figured today was the day to see the movie on DVD. I did, wasn't thrilled, but was interested in the series to see what they did with it. Oops! It has NOTHING to do with this film, it's about dinosaurs from another dimension! What a rip-off! Didn't they know that a recent film before it got the title already? Jeez, somebody in the UK alert those BBC dudes next time, okay?

well, spit on me, I liked it.
it was definitely better than any lorenzo lamas shit (and yes, I admit, I like those, too).
and yes, the crocodile was lame.

This movie was pretty good -- Was expecting some B-grade monster movie and got a whole lot more... Makes you wonder who is the monster - the croc, the Americans looking for a story at other people's expense or African goons out for blood. I noticed how the croc and the political story don't mesh overly well... They could have been two separate movies. My biggest concern is the title... It SCREAMS straight to video croc movie. It needed a better title... And maybe something besides the croc on the cover, since the movie attempts to capture so much more. I still like it though. :) Check this one out!
When I first saw this advertisement, I thought "I have to see that". I was wrong. First off, I was mad because it was about a croc and it wasn't very gory. It was very boring in parts and it needed way more action than it had. Terrible movie and waste of my time.
