The age old question. What system should I buy this game for? I have Xbox, and I have Playstation. Do I want trophies, or do I want achievement points? What system are my friends going to buy it for, so I can play online with them? Well, as posted on 1up.com, players in Japan will have specific reasons to choose. Players right here in the United States, will have to wait for out exclusives to be announced.
For the Playstation 3, you'll get a making of feature, and for the Xbox 360, you get a metal case, and "Biohazard 5 Selection Track". The Playstation 3's version however will have that making of right on the disc. The 360's version, is a "Deluxe Edition", which in most cases always costs more. On top of the Deluxe Edition, there will be a Limited Edition, which will include a 32-page art book, a 2GB USB flash drive with the Tricell name and logo on it, and a waist pouch with the BSAA logo on it, and these will only be available through Capcom's online store. You can see those items right HERE
Japan will also be getting a demo they can download for the Xbox 360, and they can play it completely online in co-op as the game can be played normally. December 5th is the date it will be available for download. Hopefully we wont have to wait too much after that to get the demo, and possibly the exclusives we will get for the game will be the same as Japans, if not a bit different. I'll keep you updated as I find more details. Until then click the link below to watch some trailers and game play for the game.
Cursed Mountain is coming out specifically for the Nintento Wii, and is set in the late 1980s. You take on the role of a mountaineer searching the Himalayas for his lost brother. As you begin to climb you encounter a curse in which the souls of people who died are trapped. You must make your way past these souls and ghosts to find your brother, if he is even still alive. The game has no current release date, but will be released sometime in 2009. Click the link below to check out a trailer for the game.
Sproing Interactive's (developers for Cursed Mountain) Harald Riegler, has said that they really wanted to make sure you felt natures fury on the mountain as realistically as possible. They also put "monumental landscapes" in your view at all times, and tried to make the souls/ghosts/demons/monsters etc as real as possible (or as real as you can make things that you don't really see in real life) to give you a real survival horror feel.
Just woke up from my turkey induced coma. In more important news, Bethesda, creators of Fallout 3 will be releasing a bit of downloadable content and to top it off a creation kit. What does that mean for you? Let me break it down.
The editor will be called The Garden of Eden Creation Kit, for short, G.E.C.K. I do dig the poetic irony of calling it the "Garden of Eden" creation kit, seeing as you spend the game in a completely destroyed world. The kit will allow those who have Fallout 3 for Windows, to create their own content to add to the game. What exactly does that mean? G.E.C.K. will allow you to basically do whatever the hell you want with the game. Create, modify, and edit any of the games data, you can make characters, weapons, landscapes, buildings, anything! You'll be able to download the creation kit sometime this month. ...Read More

Castlevania Judgement is the 1st Castlevania fighting game, and it will be coming out for the Wii November 18th. You can check out the screens I have beyond the break. You fight against Dracula and Death on this game, what's scarier than that?
Brash Entertainment the developers of the Saw video game, are shutting down. Word is they have had a few major released that became major flops. But I mean, with games like Jumper and Space Chimps, how could they have gone wrong (sarcasm). The co-founder Thomas Tull left, and 400 million dollars worth of investors left, which left Brash in the poor house. Looks like the Saw game, and the few other brash had in the works are going to be in purgatory just like the Ghostbusters game was. Thanks to True Enemy for the tip.
Check out this just released clip with Leon, and a new lady he seems to be rolling with. Below that you can check out the trailer if you haven't already seen it. It supposedly released in theaters (which ones unknown) November 13 in New York and will be coming out November 18 in Los Angeles in the US. December 30th it will be released in the US on dvd and blu-ray, and has already been released in Japan. Enjoy!
2 people over at the wired blog already got to see the movie, and pretty much bashed it to hell, have it 3 out of 10, said the cgi was pretty bad, and the lip syncing as well. They were even quoted to say "Sometimes it's on the level of an Uwe Boll film."
Now as a huge Resident Evil fan, this gives me reservations about seeing the movie, but I'm not going to let 2 pretentious nerds from wired keep me from seeing it. I'm definitely going to buy it on blu-ray because that is where it looks the best, and just from seeing the first 11 minutes and a few clips I think it already looks incredible. And it will actually tie into the video games unlike the live action movies.
Burn Zombie Burn zombies are unique in their own special ways. And by that I mean they can f*ck you up in many different ways. They each have different behavioral patters, and strengths and weaknesses. Check out the different types and some pics beyond the break, and look out for the game in the 1st quarter of next year on the playstation network. Just added a trailer, check it out!
• Normal – The every day, humdrum, wants-to-eat-your-brains zombie. They shamble slowly around until they get close and then they rush towards you
• Exploder – Big flashing lights make sure these walking bombs are clearly visible. Don’t get too close or they’ll try to take you with them
• Crazy – Identifiable by their beanie hats, these zombies will chase you clear across the map
• Dancers – Dancers hate it when you look at them and will try and dance around to attack you from the back
• Rushers – The jocks of the zombie world, they’ll charge you at speed but they’re not too bright and can’t turn very well
• Riot – These zombies have taken precautions, with welder’s masks to protect their faces and dustbin lids to protect their bodies, they can only be shot from behind
• Noxious – These diseased zombies can cause damage if you get near them but worse still – they can infect other zombies with a plague that turns them green and makes them immune to fire and dance guns. Kill these quick!
• Super Zombie – He’s big, he’s strong, his brain’s in a jar and he has serious bowel problems! Pretty much immune to everything except explosives, the Super Zombie is hard to kill. ...Read More
Just announced the release date of Moon which was scheduled for release November 18th, will be pushed back to January 13th 2009. Acceptable because the 2 companies working on the game, Mastiff and Renegade Kid recently picked up James McDonough and Adam Patyk, who have worked on such films as Hellboy and Transformers to bring a darker feel to the game.
"With each passing day I see Moon grow into a darker, more heart pounding beast," said Bill Swartz, from Mastiff. "Gamers are in for an intense experience unlike anything they've ever experienced on the DS." ...Read More

Said to be working with Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc. and development studio Terminal Reality, Atari will be bringing this game to life and onto your favorite video game systems in 2009, which is the 25th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters movie release.
Here is the part where you get real real excited, if you already haven't heard this: "the game was written by original Ghostbusters writers Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd and brings members of the original cast for the first time in 20 years. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson lend their voices and in-game likenesses to the original story set two years after Ghostbusters II, with Manhattan once again overrun by ghosts and supernatural forces. The game also features performances from fan favorites such as William Atherton (Walter Peck), Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz) and Brian Doyle-Murray (portraying Mayor Jock Mulligan).
The original Ghostbusters movie was released in 1984 and was one of Columbia Pictures most highest grossing films, and also, a sequel in 1989 was released and both movies together grossed over 500 million dollars worldwide.
I can not express in words or text how f*cking happy and excited I am that a 3rd movie was announced and a video game both starring all original members of the 1st 2 amazing movies, and the video game looks incredible, and I can only assume the movie will be as well. Tears everyone, tears.
Somewhere in the range of 4.7 million units of Fallout 3 were shipped worldwide for the release, on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows, which comes out to more than 300 million dollars. That's more than most movies ever see upon release in theaters! The game has been getting perfect if not almost perfect reviews across the board. Now that was just for the release of the game, through out the months to come they are sure to rack up more and more sales numbers.
Fallout 3 has been on over 100 magazine covers around the planet and is available in eight languages. The game is out in Japan on December 4th, and is looking to gain a decent number of sales from there. "Fallout 3 features one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Set more than 200 years following a nuclear war, you can create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C. however you choose. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland."
Zompocalypse is a side scrolling zombie killing game you can download for your PC, and soon for the Mac. The game was made by two man team Wesley Clarke and Paul Greasley, also known as the company Toad Trip Studios. In the game you can play as Sergeant Chuck McPain or the army officer, Captain John Smackdown, and play in either one or two player mode. You fight your way through hordes of zombies and try to save your ladies (from what I can gather). It's got a fun cartoony look to it, almost like a zombie version of Contra.
* Multiple stages of frenetic zombie blasting action. Just watch out for cars and the trains, they stop for nobody!
* Co-op 2 player mode. Grab a friend and bust some zombie heads together!
* Six weapons with which to rain down eternal justice upon the undead hordes. Including the most sought after of all zombie destroying implements - The Rocket Launcher. Can you say “Gib Storm”?
* Level up your character AND your weapons for great power and speed!
* Three boss zombies, including the deadly and mystical “Zombie Pope of Harlem”.
* Two in game characters to choose from, including Sergeant Chuck McPain and Captain John Smackdown!
* Multiple game levels of increasing difficulty. Can you become the “Zombie Jesus”?
* Online scoreboard to prove who is the greatest zombie smasher.
* Gamepad support, including support for Xbox 360 wireless controllers (dongle sold separately!)
* More music, better graphics, more everything!
* Full version built with Torque Game Builder!
Download the game HERE, it's $9.99 right now, normally $19.99.
I was lucky enough to score an interview with Fear 2's Dave Matthews, the Primary Art Lead. Check out the Q&A and some pics after!
TJ: What exactly are we looking at as far as multiplayer options, and online multiplayer options for Fear 2?
Dave: Well one of the features we are most excited about, and something that we get asked more than anything else about regarding multiplayer is the EPA. We’ve developed a mode called Armored Front, where players try to take and maintain possession of several control points scattered throughout the selected map. Each team will have an EPA at their disposal to help them execute on those objectives. I don’t think I can effectively describe how incredibly cool it is to hop into an EPA for the first time and just lay waste to your opponents. The thing that is so impressive about the mode though is how well the multiplayer guys have balanced and tuned the EPA so even though you are incredibly powerful, players will not be indestructible. We really can’t wait for gamers to get their hands on this one.
TJ: What horror games, (aside from your own) do you guys play and what games inspire you?
Dave: I love the genre, it’s tough to narrow is down to just a couple, the list is varied but includes games like the Fatal Frames, Silent Hills, Siren, Resident Evils, Eternal Darkness (Which completely messed with my head)System Shocks and we could go way back in time…Phantasmagoria for the gore. When I think of games for inspiration, I look to games that separated themselves from the masses at the time and helped forge new direction in gaming. Games like Ico, Shadow of the colossus, Mark of Kri, Cookie and Cream, and Flow all brought something new to the table. That innovation is what I find inspiring and it urges me to bring new things to the games I work on.

Whack the Dead is a game, in which you whack zombies to kill them. Yes, very complicated, I know. The game is for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Mac, but you can also get it for Windows and Mac OS X from iplayphonegames.com. The game can be purchased for a decent price of $2.99. To get it for the iPhone or iPod touch, you can buy it from the iTunes store, or right from this link HERE.
Eliminate the zombies, eerie creatures and beings from beyond the grave by whacking them. Grab the grenade to get rid of the bad guys as quickly as possible, freeze them by tapping on a snowman.
Find ammunition and other bonuses to help you out and to increase your score. Don't whack the good guys, though! It can be tricky at times because players might find friendly folks and animals around but don't get rid of them. If you do, well, you lose time and points, and you end up whacking the wrong things. Focus on the guys with green skin and a blank look in their eyes.
