Sometime earlier this week, it was announced that Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers were in talks to play Bonnie and Clyde in an upcoming film. I had no idea who Zegers was until I looked at his IMDB page; How could I forget his legendary performance in AIR BUD: SEVENTH INNING FETCH? I think Duff could look the part if they aged her a bit (her acting chops are an entirely different story) and this could be the biggest WTF moment in her career since WAR INC.
Her parents must be proud.

I was cruising around Twitter today when I came upon the tweeting grounds (yup, I just called it that) for BEST WORST MOVIE. For those not in the know, BEST WORST MOVIE is a documentary on TROLL 2, which is exactly what its documentary title suggests it is. Corn cob sex scenes, terrible special effects and, well, terrible everything else too. It's incredible; words just can't do it justice. Anyway, they have something up saying they'll have exciting festival news to announce on February 2nd, which is when the SXSW line-up is suppose to be announced. I don't think anyone is going to accuse me of trying to put the square block in the triangular hole when I say it's going to be there, and Tim and I are assuredly going to cover the shit out of this thing. Until then, check out this music video for Troll 2, done by ECOMOG:

Super Bowl Sunday is coming up and I, as usual, find myself more excited for the trailers than the actual game. So far, here's what's confirmed:
TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN (fun garbage)
STAR TREK (will be disappointing)
G.I. JOE (will be the hugest piece of shit ever; all 3 drafts of the scripts I saw were terrible and it's being directed by Stephen Sommers)
MONSTERS VS. ALIENS (make sure to grab your free 3D glasses from Walgreens)
ANGELS AND DEMONS (zzzzzzzzz)
LAND OF THE LOST
FAST AND FURIOUS
UP
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN
WOLVERINE was suppose to be featured but I just heard through the grapevine that Fox canceled the spot. We'll see soon enough. Some other possibilities include T4, HARRY POTTER, G-FORCE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 and the next ICE AGE flick.

I just ordered a Sony Bravia XBR 40" and it should be arriving here tomorrow.
Any suggestions on a good set of speakers to compliment it?

I've picked up a slew of graphic novels and collections lately, including ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL.1 and LOCKE AND KEY: WELCOME TO LOVECRAFT. I made a super-special purchase about two weeks ago, one that I want to dedicate to Adam Green and his love/hate relationship with it's film adaptation:
I haven't read it yet, and I've done nothing but eye it curiously on the shelf, but I swear I'm going to get to it eventually. I'm looking for some stuff similar to LOCKE AND KEY to check out; any suggestions?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a lack of enthusiasm on the web for Tintin? A new film from Steven Spielberg, written by Stephen Moffat (Doctor Who), Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright, and starring Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Jamie Bell, and nobody wants to talk about this thing? It just goes to show you what sort of state Spielberg's career is in after INDY 4. Peter Jackson, who's producing along with Spielberg, isn't getting any love for THE LOVELY BONES either, which got shuffled around a bit on the calendar this year. How about some effin stills from this movie? What's with the hold-out? It's not like this thing just got into post-production or anything.
