this looks amazing
i had doubts about the remake (thanks to the halloween remake), but this trailer looks so well put together, it actually looks scary, unlike the majority of todays crappy movies :P
This is going to be a great remake, i loved the older ones but he did move kinda slow, the fast moving jason might add a little more to the scare factor i think.
I think this actually looks quite promising. Sure, Jason moves quickly in this remake, but, look what it did for the zombies in Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead... Jason has been methodically stalking for years. It just may add the new edge this franchise needs, along with some other alterations they planned to use in this film. I am very much looking forward to this new take on an old masterpiece.
I'm excited about this REBOOT of a classic franchise, the trailer is promising and the interviews with the writers make it seem like they really care about keeping the roots in tact.
I have faith in this one! It looks to me like the director is going back to the darker roots of the F13 series. He did a helluva job in my opinion with the TCM remake. I just wish it was coming out for the halloween season.
It's looks like Jason no longer lumbers along -- like the original Michael Myers, or Romero's zombies -- he's moving pretty quickly now. That's stylistic departure number one, since he almost moved so methodically, like an unstoppable killing machine. I'm sure we'll see more updates too, but I'm really glad they've kept the original music. It would be hard to imagine this series without the "Shhhh-shhhhh-shhhhh... Hah-hah-hahhhhh..."
So far, so good.
I really hope they keep the original Harry Manfredini score like they have in parts here in the trailers. It is so effective and anything else would be second best. If they DARE to make it like a 'rock song' (think Slipknot etc) I swear I'll KILL THEM ALL!
I love how Jason was approaching that girl. You can just tell he was going to seriously mess her up!!!!! I am not a fan of remakes, but I do want to see this one.
