I'm glad someone using the ectoplasm in a film, I've always had a fascination with it since I looked at the old pictures of seances as a kid. Might be cool, at least good for a few jumps.
Yea sure it may look a little like Amityville, but so friggin what! What good ghost story doesnt involve demonic posessions and paranormal activity in a new home? lol.
I think this looks good, and people should stop being so damn picky and analyze every little detail - just enjoy the movie.
What a total Amityville Horror rip-off! It looks descent, but I just can't believe the similarities between the two. Might check it out when it hits DVD...
I had read a book about this story and I've also read an article from the writer/director guy that this was going to be a complete play-by-play true account of what it is they went through living in that house. They went through some SERIOUSLY CRAZY SH*T but it didn't resemble anything that was in that movie. The poster for it makes it seem like someone's possesed but it didn't look like it on the trailer. That was one of the biggest things that happened in real-life was the possesion.
But I digress. It does look quite entertaining. I love supernatural horror more than anything else. It's (to me) the only kind of horror that truely works. Slashers...buy a gun and shoot the bastard. Demons/ghosts? Are they real? There's evidence to go for and against and if they are real, how do you get rid of them? You can't shoot them...that's why they're so scary.
Looks good-and that is the kid that plays the FLASH on the WB's Smallville-=hmmmm....i bet this will kick ass anything with demons and ghosts when done right is awesome-and this looks good.
now this looks like a great movie. So seeing it. Kinda Amityville kinda exorcist. Looks like they were going for a Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer kind of with the words and the way they showed them.
