Long after writing PIG HUNT, I was told about Razorback and located a copy on VHS. Totally different -- except for the WILD BOAR (and ours is bigger!). PIG HUNT is really about the contemporary America (esp Nor Cal), violence, why we kill, and if you look deep, the no-win chaos of the War in Iraq. Les Claypool is our musical composer and also plays the role of the Preacher, one of our rednecks clan members. He has a special jacked up "Preachermobile" that accommodates his cross crossbow. He also had the only improv line that made it into the movie -- "Darlene, shut the fuck up! And get the dogs!"
Hi robert. Is Razorback also one of your favourite movies? if not you should check it out, its a classic aussie 80s horror and its also about a massive killer boar. ps nice work having ARE weapons on the trailer. works nicely. look like the film may kick ass, what character is Les Claypool playing?
I'm the writer and producer of PIG HUNT (and also the guy who gets his head cut off in the trailer!) and wanted to say thanks for all the support on PIG HUNT. We are finishing up post production and will have a final product by the end of March.
The movie is even more intense and full of anarchy than the trailer. Hopefully all the spirit of some of my favorite brutal movies comes through, Straw Dogs, Deliverance, Road Warrior, Blue Velvet, Animal House. I believe we are actually claiming ground to a new genre -- 21st Century Terror.
Anyway, thanks for keeping your fans updated on PIG HUNT, and please let them know that our Nor Cal production aint no wine country Lexus ad. This is the real Up Cal deal!
