Charles Band is a vastly under-rated director. The man’s a genius. Though he’s directed and produced dozens and dozens of great films, my favorite is Dollman vs. Demonic Toys. Its fun, its campy, it has some genuinely creepy moments and a lot of dark humor. A good ride from start to finish.

    • Trancers! Sci-fi classic. Though I think he has directed more crappy movies than good ones to be honest. But hes still a horror icon, that guys has produced more horror movies than anybody. I remember really liking that movie The Alchemist, I saw it once on television. I wonder if its on DVD yet?

    • I don’t think so. I’ve very tirelessly tracked down virtually every Charles Band related movie on DVD and I dont have that yet.

    • Well then I’m sure it will get a DVD release eventually, they’re releasing everything. If that Microwave Massacre movie can get one, then The Alchemist certainly can.

    • i love all his movies they all have a certain feel about them though some do suck pretty bad they all have a uniqe story though i like puppet master the best myself but hes directed so many its not fair ta pick one ……

I grew up on my mom’s VHS tapes of Full Moon movies. So many great memories, and I really do love them all. Its hard to just pick one. But atm my favorite is Castle Freak. Though I’m a fickle fan and my favorite changes from time to time.

    • Full Moon was a huge part of my childhood and I would go to the video store daily just to check out all the new stuff they had out.

My favorite Full Moon film is Puppet Master III. I also dig Puppet Master 1-5, The Suspecies series, Trancers 2, Demonic Toys and the Evil Bong series.

    • I’m also a fan of Toulon’s Revenge! a few that stick out in my mind(nostalgia):
      Subspecies
      Castle Freak
Gingerdead Man(sorry but this was so damned funny)
Freeway 2: Confessions of a Trick Baby
      Puppet Master(i + iii)
I have a vhs copy of Assault of the Killer Bimbos in a box. I swear it said “FULL MOON” on the top. If it is Full Moon, then that is…[Read more]

    • My favorite is easily Subspecies. It is not only my favorite Full Moon film, this may be my favorite vampire movie. LOL, Radu was a bad motherfucker. But I loved so many of them I would get so excited when I was a kid to rent a movie from the video store that had the “Full Moon Entertainment” logo on the box. What was the name of the behind…[Read more]

    • The Puppet Master and The Subspecies films also Meridian. and there is a movie they didnt make but they were the distributor of ” Sorority Babes in the Slimeball O Rama “

    • I love the Subspecies films, not only are these my favorite Full Moon films, but my favorite vampire films in general.

    • I have so many favorites from growing up. Hell I even got to speak with Full Moon back when I was going to run a comic and card shop(back during the comic boom).

I remember loving Puppet Master particularly part 3 also Trancers 3. Subspecies part 1 and of course Castle Freak, Meridian, and many many more.

Full moon made it a fun time to go to…[Read more]

    • “Sadly they havent been like that much lately themselves.”
      Yes, very sad.

And where the Hell is Comic Con?! I keep hearing about it. Damnation, I’m sure it’s so far out of my reach and too late to go by now…

    • the puppetmaster series is what caught my attention lol i love fullmoon i almost have all of em i love watchin videozone after ….i even have their spinoff company moonbeam which made prehysteria the movie with the little dinosaurs anything they did just brings back memories lol

    • Puppet Master 1-3 were awesome movies. Full Moon had some great ones, but those have to be their best and my favorite.

    • Subspeices, and Trancers.
There is just something about the character Radu, and the locations.
And with Trancers it’s the one liners.
      “Only squids have dry hair.”

    • I also grew up on Full Moon vhs..ahh the days watching the videozones etc. remember those?
My fav is Puppet Master 3…I think it’s a great ‘origin’ film and I also have a strong fondness for Subspecies but love most if not all Full Moon movies.

    • i love demonic toys.

    • Subspecies is def my fav Full Moon and vampire movie. I am so mad I can’t find it on DVD!

    • I have so many favorite Full Moon movies. My Top 5 are Puppetmaster 3,Subspecies,Castle Freak,Dollman, The Demonic Toys

    • Subspecies, castle freak. Evil bong series

Hi Everybody, so, I’m creating this post for one simple purpose, you want to write, produce, direct or star in horror films? maybe you can post a part of your screenplay for discussion or If anyone wants to discuss ideas together, or ask for an idea on a story, please do so in here… so let’s learn :D

    • I doubt anyone will post their ideas but I’m up for discussing screenwriting. I’m a new writer and I will be purchasing “Final Draft” in the next month. Is it a pretty easy software to get to learn? Anyone here sold a screenplay or won contest?

    • Final Draft is pretty easy to use, but in case you havent bought it yet you should look up Cinergy, its easy and free

    • Noticed it’s been pretty dead on here, wondering if anybody is working on anything cool? I’m trying to write a feature length script influenced by heavy metal, both the magazine and the movie, and pink floyds “animals” album. Im hoping to get it sold, so who knows.

    • Well in reply to this, I’m happy to post a bit of my script up on here, anyone care to read?
It’s only a idea, not one I’ve run with but there you go.

    • Sure,why not?

    • Definitely put it up man. Maybe people giving you feedback will reignite your muse for it

    • Post it. I’ll read it

    • i’ve been trying to find another writer that would be down to collaborate on a script. if you’re really serious about starting something, message me!

    • I need a help from all my friends here. I’m in the middle of making a storyboard. I’m looking for a few scene from other film that similar to my scene for a reference shots. Here’s the list of the scene
      1. Somebody carrying a shotgun/rifle and running after and to shoot another person in the woods/jungle
      2. People/person throwing a bottle that…[Read more]

Movies as well as books depict werewolves as slaves to vampires, and that they are brainless killing machines. I disagree with the stigma, after all wolves in real life are loyal creatures, whereas vampire bats are seen as a nuisance. Has anyone read “The Wolf’s Hour”? I can’t remember the author and it has been awhile, I also would like to see…[Read more]

    • Robert R. McCammon is the author of “The Wolf’s Hour”, btw

    • Check out The Werewolf by Montague Summers. It’s a difficult read (in my opinion) but the research that Monty has done in the book is very interesting.

    • The Wolf’s Hour was a pretty cool book (although Swan’s Song is definately McCammon’s best), I really liked the way White Wolf depicted werewolves in their World of Darkness games and novels.

Hello and welcome to The Cult! The place for all us fans of Cult films and B-movie masterpieces.

    • A Cult film is a film that has acquired a highly devoted but specific group of fans.

    • My own tastes in film has always run toward exploitation flicks, B movies, low budget cinema. There’s just something about those movies I can’t quite put my finger on that makes them so much more fun to watch than the polished big Hollywood productions. I’ll take a bucket of popcorn with extra butter, a Coke and Blackenstein, Delinquent Girl Boss,…[Read more]

I want you all to post something like a idea for a zombie then we will talk about how we all can make it come true. :) :):):)

    • I love that idea would make a good movie how about we call it like something like Bloody Murder. Plus would the zombies be made from virus or something from magic. Plus I need to get more members to join this group and this thing will be off the ground soon.

    • it will not be off the ground soon….and magic??? really????

    • I was thinking that the zombie out break could have been started by a magic spell. Some person trying to bring back a love one and they lose control as they start to turn other people.:devilang:

    • the only type of magic that would/has ever worked in any zombie film is voodoo….and that was only because Stephen King made it so!!!

    • I like my idea the person love a love one and they use magic to being them back but it all goes wrong.

    • would that person not have friends telling them to let it go?????

    • When you really want someone you do not let it go.

    • yes, there is a point in time where you cut your loses and you accept defeat….especially when the enemy you just lost to is death!!

    • Death is nothing we want to lose to its just the fact man people will do anything they can to fight death so why not fight to being someone back.

    • mostly because normally people mourn for their loved ones and try to honor their life instead of disgracing their loved ones by trying to “save” them…i would rather leave my loved ones in the afterlife because i know it is better than here…it is an incredibally selfish thing when someone wants to rob another person of the glory presented to us…[Read more]
