So, what do you reckon about the possibility of FD5?
I think New Line would be absolutely mad not to after the success of this one. -

Slashtastic posted an update in the group John Carpenter Fans September 6, 2009 9:49 am
I want to ask what you think John Carpenter’s worst film is?
Now, I’ve got to make it clear first, that I’m a big fan of Carpenter’s work on the whole. I consider his greatest to be ‘Assault on Precinct 13′ (1976), ‘Halloween’ (1978), ‘The Fog’ (1980), and ‘The Thing’ (1982). I also like ‘Escape from New York’ (1981), ‘Christine’ (1983), ‘Big…[Read more]

I agree. I remember when I was hesitant about seeing They Live because it didn’t look that good but loved it when I saw it. I figured it would be the same for Ghosts of Mars. I also thought that even if it was bad, Jason Statham could hopefully save it. Unfortunately I was wrong, as much as I want to say Carpenter couldn’t make a bad film,…[Read more]

‘Ghosts of Mars’ was amazing to me the first time I saw it because I didn’t know what real horror was then but now that I looked back on it… it was God awful.
-
I agree, Ghosts of Mars by far is his worst work.
-
Im gonna say Vampires. I know others will disagree but for me the movie had way more potential and most of it didnt make it to the screen.
-
‘Vampires’ is by no means a good film. But I think it’s made watchable for the brilliant performance by the great, James Woods. Other that though, it’s definitely one of John Carpenter’s worst. But it’s just about passable entertainment compared to ‘Ghosts of Mars’, which is just totally unwatchable!
-
I think Carpenter Nation agrees almost unanimously, Ghosts of Mars.
-
Well, I’d have to agree pretty much, his later films have definite decline in quality. ‘Ghosts’ was horrible. Ice Cube is horrible.
-
Ghost of Mars has to be the worst of his movies but by no means the worst movie ever made. I just hate thinking there is a worst for him.
-
GHOSTS OF MARS his worst?
You’ve gotta be fucking kidding.Funny that people cream all over mark-missing crap like GRINDHOUSE but cant tell the real thing when a master of that type of film plops it in their laps.
Shame on JC for expecting modern audiences to get it.
But then, it has always taken audiences time to catch up to…[Read more]

It’s true that a lot of his body of work wasn’t realized for it’s full potential upon release, and thus became commercial failures at the box office. They were equally misunderstood by critics.
But ‘GOM’ was rightfully dismissed, as it is a turgid rehash of a past glory: the magnificent ‘Assault on Precinct 13′. Except it’s been rewritten for the…[Read more] -

-
I would have to agree Ghosts of Mars but I like Ghosts of Mars. I just hold his films to such high standards and all of his other films are so great. That even a movie that I like has to be his worst. That just means that I like all of his work.
-
I can’t say that i have hated any of his films, but i haven’t seen Ghosts Of Mars, so i guess it’s that
-
I love . gets my vote as his worst film. is his most disappointing work. Great score though:
-
tough call !
-
Ghost of Mars
-
Ghosts was pretty bad I agree….but Ice Cube cannot compare to the sheer awfulness of Chevy Chase in Memoirs of an Invisible Man by far and away my least fave Carpenter

I just signed up with Bloody Disgusting, and what do I find? A group for the North of England, good stuff!

Am I allowed to be here if I’m Scottish? I’m also in a city built over plague pits
-
Fine by me, Scotland’s a beautiful place, never seen so many trees in my life. So which plague lid do you live in then?;)
-
Glad to be aboard then! Edinburgh, pretty good place to live if you love horror, as we have such a lovely grisly and dark devious past in our city, hehe. Alot of the streets were built over to brick in the plague victims and now we have some of the most haunted underground streets in Britain, lol.
-
Yeah, we stayed a night in Edinburgh, saw quite a few adverts for ghost tours and the like. Cool city, appeared to be a lot nicer than Glasgow
. -
I think Glasgow (to me anyway) seems alot more cosmopolitan where as Edinburgh is very old town and proud of it’s heritage. I love living in a haunted city
No wonder I like creepy stuff so much hehe. -
Am in Northumberland you dont get much further North without turning Scottish!
-
Was there in July! Visited the old forts (Chesters/Housesteads/Vindolanda). Someone needs to make a horror movie about the ghosts of Roman soldiers exacting revenge on British people who built over their (already stolen) land and stole their stone

Yes! The reason why each and every FD have been as successful as they have been is simply because unlike Saw and other franchises, they don’t release a film EVERY damn year. They wait a nice while and then release one. This is the key to prolonging the life of a franchise.
With the success of TFD, I hope for more books, a TV series, and Of…[Read more]
TwistedFate_L4 – mmm… i love FD… and don’t care if i have to wait years to see the new one… however, i don’t mind a yearly screening either… some movie-makers just do things differently (i am a devout SAW fan, but that’s beside the point)
anyway, i think it won’t be a surprise if (or better yet, when) they announce part 5…
I would love the fast track. Nice idea! but yeah, yearly is a bit much and the saw franchise seems a bit precarious at the moment even though i’m a fan.
I find it hilarious how H2 fans are trying to drag TFD down with them on this because they were so confident they would win at the BO. It’s beyond me how people can diss a film that is still no.1…[Read more]
mssw/imback,
Saw is VERY successful, but sooner or later, the general audience will get sick of seeing one EVERY single year, like most people are now. But I say hey, as long as they are good, keep ‘em coming, but Saw V, despite being a financial success, is the weakest of the series. A possible sign that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to just…[Read more]
Another danger of releasing a sequel every year is that fans can take the franchise for granted. “Oh, I’ll just wait for Saw VI to hit video, there will be another next year anyway”. This is what killed Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street back in the 80′s. Every year there was a new Jason or Freddy film, by the early 90′s the general…[Read more]
Ultor, I so agree with you. Now H2 fans are trying to blame it on the teenage audience. I’m fresh out of High School and I know for a fact that teenagers will go see ANY horror film that’s out. Rather its FD or Halloween or Friday The 13th, they’ll go see it. Horror films have always had teenaged audiences. So I have no idea what that has to do…[Read more]
But, how it will be called? THE FINAL DESTINATION 2????? They’ve a lot of ideas to follow this franchise, but sooner or later, something seemed to SAW movies will happen… I think a TV series like Harper’s Island could work perfectly… (If I was producer, I’ll do it XD)
) to see TFD… U.U
I should wait to October 30th (my birthday
So I…[Read more]
“Producer Craig Perry has confirmed that there are plans to go ahead with a new Final Destination film, making The Final Destination the second to last installment in the series”
I just saw TFD and I think it was completely awesome!
However, idk if there should be a new one… It was a great way to end the series, it had that, “last movie in the series, so its gonna be epic and impossible to beat” thing. I`d be all for a great sequel, but it`d have to be even more amazing than TFD.
well it was from wikipedia… but the stupid site today changed it already.
Guess I should choose a better source to site from
Hi I loved the final destination film series & hope that Craig Perry will do another Final Destination.which will be number 5 in the series. The series is still very strong and not boaring and has none stop acting which keeps you entertained through out each and every film so I’m defintely supporting Mr Perry in making another final destination.
Hi Guys.I hope like I said before Producer Craig Perry does a Final Destination 5. But this time do something completely different. Having the person with the vision who saves everyone die first & having death decide in any order when people will die. Making the survivors do completely different things to the last final destination movies. Having…[Read more]

that is actually an amazing idea! I thought TFD would be the end but it is true that even though they died, hundreds were still saved…and the idea of the premonitionist dying first is really cool too.
finally announced.:D:D:D i love all of em.
my idea is that all the people from the fourth movie who survived (Nick saved people at the theater) at an accident. Now like right after the premonition the main guy has a vision and as they all wonder whats gonna happen the main guy does something to save the group, but then HE dies!
So now they have to try to figure it all out without the main…[Read more]

I wrote once a FD story about the idea of an opening disaster in a waterpark… It could be great to see it in the 5th one!
It will be a bridge disater for Part 5.:pirate:
ohh that would be awesome if they made at 5th one:) but they dont realy have any survivors from any of the others films so it would be kinda hard to make another one so it might not be made:(, well the could start fresh with new people:):headstab:
if they do make it i hope it will be epic man i can’t wait!!!!!!
